My daughter has been waiting months for this to Lava Island to open! Once we got the email for the vip grand opening, we had to be there. My husband and I enjoy seeing the excitement on her face for all experiences in her life.
When I went to the front desk to pay for our entry. $13.50 is a great price for an hour of play but when they said it was $13.50 for a spectator is absolutely ridiculous. My husband ended up sitting in the car and missed out on the memories because that would be another $13.50 for another spectator.
My parents were excited to take their granddaughter here as well, but after I told them the pricing they wonât be taking her, just because of the spectator charge.
My recommendation is donât charge for anybody that is not jumping/ going in the jungle gym area. Maybe just give them a white bracelet and anybody thatâs playing give them a color bracelet for the time slot theyâre in. When parents/ grandparents are happy theyâll end up buying a full day pass for the kids and spending money in food for the whole family.
Overall, my daughter had an amazing experience and a place that I thought Iâd be spending every weekend at. Now Iâm not sure when weâll be back. Hopefully management reconsiders not charging...
Read moreFirst of all as a playground for children it is absolutely amazing. And everything is designed with parents in mind meaning they can follow their kids around so they choose. But... charging parents and grandparents to sit and watch their kids and grandchildren play is going to cost them dearly. They would be much better off by allowing spectators free. It would also mean the spectators would sit around and order food and drinks for their kids because they did not pay an arm and a leg just to walk in the door. Furthermore and this is a critique, for a giant playground, there is absolutely no hand sanitizer or way to wash your hands other than going to the bathroom. For me, it's like going to the children's museum; There's a fifty percent chance you're probably going to get sick. Even the bathroom that I used was out of soap and the paper towel dispenser did not work. I brought it up to an employee but it never got fixed or refilled with soap. I understand it's new and they are probably learning as they go, so i hope they take these into consideration. For kids... easy 5 stars! Adults and...
Read moreLove love love it! So much to do, so many little obstacles, slides, trampolines, great decor and artwork etc. Everywhere you turn, there's something to do or see. I like that it's fit for adults and smaller kids, not too little that you have to crouch down, or not too big for my 2yr old to navigate. I also like that you can bring your own socks. The party rooms were sooooo cute, it kept getting better each room. So many employees, making sure it's kept clean.
Cons: my mom was a little upset about the prices. As other reviews mention, the spectator fee. $50+ for 2 adults, 1 child. Luckily I had socks on, so I could make the fee worth it. But for my mom just sitting there, not participating, having to pay full price is a little crazy.... Not a small fee either, especially in today's economy. Spectators should at least get half off IF you do charge to just sit and watch. Other than that, we loved it. Wayyy better than Wildcats or the typical trampoline places. If it wasn't so far from us, and so pricey, we'd...
