I've liked this place for years but it's on the opposite side of town, so it's not often visited. I'm rather disappointed that the quality has fallen. My beautiful bride had the Cinnimon Roll French Toast and a side of sausage. In her words, it "was alright but tasted like it was made from stale bread." HMMM I had a "medium or less" hamburger patty w/ 2 eggs, toast, and hash browns. To be honest, I never knew one could make ground beef so tough, dry, and tasteless. I nominated it for a replacement for a truck tire, but I wasn't sure I could drill it for the lug nuts. The eggs were mostly done okay, as I prefer the yolks well cooked. However, the potatoes could have taken a rightful place as an OPEC member with it's wealth of oil intact. I hope this was an anomaly and not a trend. Small mom and pop restaurants are our joy to visit and there are too few of them. But when the quality goes, so does the customers, which is a bad omen for the future of the store. EDIT: I find it ironic that menus are required to advise that ordering and serving undercooked food is dangerous towards food poisoning...and yet, when I order fully cooked eggs, I get the runny slop that I did today. Whats worse, I brought it to the waitress's attention, where by she promptly forgot we existed until time for the bill. No fix, just a motherly , non-verbal, " you'll eat what I serve you." You'll get what tip you...

The crying onion café is a good little local place… Independent, not a chain real people serving real food our waitress Kit was wonderful and the food was tasty, hot and delivered quick. Good coffee too strong not bitter. I got chicken fried steak with potatoes and eggs, and Courtland got an omelette with bacon. both are very well prepared, although I would say there was an excess amount of gravy on my chicken fried steak… Did I just say too much gravy? Is that even possible? If you order something without bacon, you can order literally one piece of bacon they sell you one they sell you three those your choices but it’s great because the bacon is excellent. kit did not tell me they were specials they looked really good. I would’ve gotten one of them but I was not overall disappointed because my meal was very well done! The restaurant is not large, and the tables filled fairly quickly. But parking is plentiful because it is located in the mall area.

Dropped in, looking for someplace different. We were greeted at the door by the owner with a very warm and inviting disposition. Even though we were a few minutes before the opened for dinner we were allowed to dine. For being in an older strip center the interior just popped with the black tables and chairs trimmed in chrome. There is a nice selection of colorful art work on the walls - available for sale, supporting a local artist. We were very comfortable. The menu had a lot of variety without being overwhelming. Both my wife and I selected the #5 combo which included a shredded beef taco, chili relano and a cheese enchilada with generous portions of rice and beans. The new owners have only been here since April and only last week opened for dinner for the first time. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience- I guarantee we’ll be back!

We used to visit this place regularly when we lived on this side of town, but moved and haven’t been here in a little over 3 years - and I was SO disappointed, it’s so different than what I remember. The food was the only saving grace for our visit - the food was still delicious. We had the pancakes, bacon, French toast and eggs. All the food was great and we have zero complaints about the food.

But the service was AWFUL! We watched 2 tables of people get their menus and waters and then sat for 10 minutes without anyone going back to check on them - we then watched both tables get up and leave without ordering because of the lack of service. We should have taken this as a sign and left too (but again, the food was the only good part). We stood at the door for 5 minutes before being greeted and sat down - we waited another 5 minutes for someone to come to our table, despite her coming to the tables next to us 4 different times. We ordered, and then didn’t see our waitress again until the food came out - by that time I was out of coffee and my husband was out of water. She dropped the food off - no syrup for the pancakes, she came and dropped off the syrup and left again before we could mention our coffee and water.

She never came back after that. We had to go up to the counter to ask for more water and order another plate of food for our son who joined us late. Another server cleared our table and brought us a box. Again, we didn’t our server the rest of the time. Had to go ask for the check at the counter and then she came. But the service was definitely disappointing. Hoping it was just a fluke and not the...

I have eaten here for several years and have had a good experience and meal... Today walked in we did sit down at a table that had been used and was waiting for somebody to come clean it off and wipe it down.. the waitress that was ours came by twice and did anything about it. about 5 minutes later an older lady came by picked up the dirty dishes and wipe down our table .... after I had taken out my handy wipes and did it myself are waitress finally came and took our drink order and then came back and took our food order I had ordered the California burger with tater tots when she brought with her food she asked if there was anything else and I had asked for some ranch dressing guess what never got. the waitress never came back to ask if everything was okay how everything was or anything she finally came around and asked us if we were ready for the bill and I said yes 5 to 10 minutes later I finally had to go up to the counter and retrieve the bill and pay for it I guess her pink hair was just too pretty to walk across the restaurant to bring us our bill when I received the bill finally I told her I said I ordered the California Burger but that's not what I got I got a bacon cheeseburger I said there was no guacamole on it the bacon was terrible so she changed the ticket to a bacon cheeseburger I paid the total amount no tips no kitchen tips they need to be more attentive on their...

Tried this place for the first time and never again. My best friend and I explore new restaurants. The waitress was wonderful. She was attentive, very kind, made sure everything was served and it was all correct. The food was not good. 1. Overcooked was the theme. My best friend had the corned beef hash tasted like Hormel and thats fine but came with a hard layer of overcooked. The eggs are plain. The toast was normal. The hash brown had so much oil he told me. I tried it and as I went to cut it, it squeezed out oil so I skipped. I had an omelet. It had spinach, mushroom, onion, skipped the bacon and jack replaced with tomato and swiss. It was very plain. I was very upset because the omelet was around 8” it comes with 2 swiss which the cook put a slice inside in the middle and on the outside directly above it instead of side by side so the outer parts which equate to 1/2 the omelet had no cheese. I had to pay an extra $2 to get cheese on the whole omelet. The avg price of a breakfast meal is $13.99. I ordered the sausage links for $5.99 and they were completely burned and crispy on the outside. Good size though. I broke it in half to make sure it wasnt just a different kind of sausage. I was blown away someone would actually offer such burned sausage. I sent them back and just skipped sausage. It was busy but mostly a senior crowd. I have a feeling its the location and...
