Jimmys Pita & Poke — Restaurant in Marana

Well well well, I called my wife and told her I will treat her to something tonight since the last place we went wasn't that great, and let me tell you, we loved it. We both got the Jimmy Bowl, and wow, packed full of flavor! Where to begin?

The food was wonderful. We are both from the coast, so when it comes to seafood away from the coast, we have some not so great experience. Let me tell you, we were impressed by the level of amazing flavors and the freshness we had. Packed full of veggies, sauces, and the protein that filled our bowls, it soon became a top place here in the northwestern part of Tucson. Would we choose this over other places? Yes. Would we recommend to friends? Yes.

The service was great. The ladies working were very helpful and nice. Had a semi smile to full smile, which is great and appreciated. They asked questions and didn't put me down for not knowing, and even when I asked a question about a sauce another patron mentioned, my server sent me into intrigue by hyping up my sauce be hitting me with the, "that's what you're getting, but it's the spicy kind". My tastebuds soared as the thought of my food filled my mind. Definitely a seller of what I really love, which is delicious food.

Now the atmosphere, it was what I expected for a place that wasn't a "sit down restaurant". It still was great and well presented, reminded me of a Chipotle style set up, but.... with way better food and not just a place where your Instagram Bae goes and has to take photos of every single meal she gets, which by the way, is the same thing everytime, and still pretends like it's the new thing. Was it still inviting? Yes. Was it comforting and well lit? Yes. Would I dine there if I didn't take out? Yes.

Overall, thank you for this experience. Will definitely let people know that you have a great place, but I hope when you get to be more mainstream, you won't sell out and make your food cheap, because what you have is great, and I'd hate to not live you like I did...

So I was gonna give this place 4 stars because you have to exceptional to get 5. I went to the river location and got the California crunch and the Hercules. I have read the worst reviews because that is how I judge wether or not I go. If there was any truth to the old reviews there is a 180 right now. The food was fresh with an amazing taste. Cucumbers were crunchy avocado were the great green of freshly peeled. Not the brown like it has been sitting. I went to the campus location my first time and it isn’t very easy to find. I am a very impatient person and this place was worth the hunt. Now I said I don’t do 4 stars and food alone doesn’t do 5 stars for me. The customer service is what sets them apart from anyone else. They forgot their ponzu sauce and I was upset. I was picking up my daughter from school and I would have to get back on the highway to get my sauce which I got extra and the cost of the extra wasn’t worth the gas of my SUV. Idk who owns the red Toyota 4Runner but he offered to bring it to my daughter school and he was quick about it. I’m not gonna say he sped but the rate he go it to me he had to have a jet pack. When I met him he was so apologetic and didn’t seem bothered about the drive. I greatly appreciated that and now I’m a loyal customer. I challenge people to give this place a try. I promise it...

I’m a regular customer at smoothie king about 3 stores down there daily so I try this river poke location knowing it’s finna be similar to the university location which I’ve already accumulated points at come here notice they do and say things differently I asked why they call ponzu sauce a honey citrus how come the crab doesn’t have mayo get the just because saying from the manager check out spend like 16$ large bowl leave try it it’s funky asl doesn’t taste right asked can I come back get just rice shrimp and eel sauce plain had to go back n fourth w the manager for asking for a re make and way less products I originally got salmon aloha tuna 2 crab scoops dry seaweed seaweed salad ect it was an issue until I’m like make this make sense she agrees then calls me back saying bring in the old bowl I say no problem at all I’ve been eating in the parking lot come in the crew makes the food super nice but she went they said I ate half I said nah it’s on the floor outside if you’d like to come outside she was annoyed she didn’t wanna give me new utensils napkins or a bag never coming back this was mad weird for no reason I’ve worked food for 12 years I’ve never spoken to a customer how she did or felt the need to CALL THEM BACK jimmys pita and poke please send her through training again while I came back everyone in there...
