"I recently visited your Starbucks and ordered a simple Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with Java Chips, Caramel, and Whipped Cream. Let's just say, crafting this beverage seemed to be a Herculean task for the barista, Makayla. Despite this being a relatively straightforward order, the preparation time was unexpectedly long. Unfortunately, the initial drinks provided were incorrect. We were then instructed to rejoin the line to receive the correct order, which caused further delays. This significantly impacted our schedule as we had an important appointment to attend – apparently, enjoying a perfectly blended Frappuccino was not a top priority. Upon receiving the corrected drinks, we were dismayed to find them poorly made. The drinks arrived looking like they'd been through a blender fight. The ingredients were separated, the whipped cream was a sad, melted puddle, and it appeared as though they'd been sitting for a caffeine-induced nap. When we brought this to the attention of Makayla, she seemed less than thrilled. Let's just say, her customer service skills could use a Frappuccino-sized boost. Extremely dissatisfied, we requested a refund. Subsequent attempts to address this issue with customer service were met with similar indifference and a lack of understanding. I am a frequent customer of Starbucks and have never experienced such poor service or product quality. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used to improve the customer experience at this location. Perhaps a mandatory Frappuccino-making boot camp for all baristas...
Read moreRecently since this store has changed managers I have had issues. I used to frequent this location when Carolyn, the old manager was there , she then took a sabbatical, and Kathy stepped in for a short time, only to leave after having family issues, Martin is the new manager. Let me say, this guy is nowhere to be seen, ever. I used to see the managers out on the floor working alongside fellow baristas all the time, I have yet to see this guy even make a drink. I am fairly familiar with Starbucks procedures, as my son is an employee in Phoenix, and I was disturbed to hear that many of the old employees I knew had left because Martin cut their schedules down to 5 hours when they used to get 30-40 hours, these people have kids, bills, school, etc. This was a way to get employees he didn't like or people who didn't have perfect availability to transfer stores or quit. Then a large portion of his old employees from his old store, 99th and lower buckeye, transferred to this location to take their place. This was not just gossip, this happened to 4 employees that had zero qualms working there before Martin. I am just saddened to hear that there are business practices like this taking place at a company that claims to care about its employees. This is why I cannot stress that this is not a store that should...
Read moreThis location is not a "store". I think they call them kiosks? I definitely don't want every Starbucks to be a kiosk but this is probably the fastest store in the area. It has a drive through (which is usually very busy but it does move). It has a walk up window which is just kind of cool. Except on those rare cold days. There is rarely more than a couple people in line. There are a couple tables with umbrellas.
There are two drawbacks. One is the parking lot. It's small. It's poorly designed. It serves more than one business. It can be difficult to park because half the spots are inaccessible due to the drive thru line.
Two is the location and the location. It's Dysart & McDowell. Do I need to say more? The intersection is always a nightmare. From McDowell, there is a light to turn into the parking lot but that brings us to the location. You can't see the Starbuck's from the light and you have to weave through the parking lots of several businesses including a school/daycare. If you are on Dysart, the only way in (or out) is headed south which will lead you straight into the drive thru line.
If you know what you're doing, it's alright. If it's your first or second time, pay attention so you don't get in an accident. (I've never seen an accident there but surely...
