I go to Banner for nearly all of my medical care. Nearly all of my reviews are excellent all 10’s so I was very upset to come across my appointment with Dr. Tucker. I was sent to her by another of my medical practitioners for an evaluation. After a serious fall down a flight of stairs, three surgeries to repair a broken tibia plateau and other knee problems I have continued pain and back pain which is not improving. Dr. Tucker saw me for 15 seconds after her student doctor looked at me. My questions from my referral dealt with why are the leg bone twisting the foot outwards and the knee is twisting inwards which puts pressure on my lower right back which really hurts. Her student told me they don’t do backs, Dr. Tucker walked in and stated “Lose weight.” You need steroid shots. Probably need knee replacements in the future and she left.

My original questions why I was sent there just weren’t discussed or addressed. I did not get to address the steroid shots which really makes no sense to me. If her main concern is that I lose weight then why give me shots that cause me up to 6 weeks of extra eating and cravings causing me to gain weight. I did not return for the shots. Also before a doctor is so abrupt and judgmental about weight I wish she would take time to read the chart to see that I have had bariatric surgery, lost 80 lbs., and am presently working with a nutritionist.
