Came to Wendy's today 04/24/2024 and ordered two Cobb salads no bacon. As the lovely lady Venus rung my order in, there was a different order being shown on the screen that I believe the guy was ringing up for a customer on the inside. She told me my total and when I pulled around to the first window, i received a different total that was less than she originally told me when I ordered. I paid and pulled to the second window. As I pulled to the second window, a lady with a red shirt curly black hair stated " you didn't stop at the first window you were supposed to stop and pay at the first window" I was confused and said "I'm sorry??" She then says with more attitude "ohhhh my gossshhhuh" leave for a few seconds and comes back and says it again. I proceed to look at her confused and stated that I did stop at the first window and I paid with cash. She storms off toward the back and never returns. I look at my receipt at notice that Ms Venus may have cashed me in for the wrong order which is understandable being that I've worked in fast food. To the lady with the attitude like a child but looked as though she could have been my mother's age, please work on your approach and attitude... as I have and could have handled that differently but chose to be a better person and was already not having the best of day. Thank you ms Venus for trying and thank you to the guy who handed me my food and didn't make it a bigger deal after showing him ms Venus may have accidentally cashed me in for the wrong order. Read moreThe last few times I ordered in the app, only part of the order was ready when I went to pick it up. The first time this happened, the lady was very rude and wanted me to just accept the partial order. Fortunately, there was a young man who stepped in and verified that I had more to my order. He asked to take a picture of my digital receipt and had the food I was missing made right away. I forgot to ask him his name that time, but appreciated him taking the time and listening. I like to order in the app because I usually have a large order because my family is five people. It helps me keep track of what I ordered and I can prepay. I’ve been using the app for a long time. I’m not sure what the issue is with it all of a sudden, but I still use it because of the convenience. The most recent time this happened, the same young man was the person at the window. He immediately started trying to fix it. He had me pull around and wait for the food. He personally brought the food out to my car and I asked him his name. So, whoever runs Wendy’s on Dysart in Litchfield Park, AZ, Dominic deserves a raise. He is patient and helpful and kind. His customer service is top notch. Thank you so much, Dominic! Let’s start with the food: absolutely terrible. The fries were cold and soggy, the burger was thrown together with no care, and the lettuce looked like it had been sitting out all day. I’ve given this location a few chances, and every time the food is either wrong, cold, or just plain gross. The dining area wasn’t even clean, with tables still covered in trash from previous customers.
Now for the job experience — I came in to apply and was met by the manager, who was shockingly rude and dismissive. She acted like I was wasting her time, barely looked at my application, and gave off a very unprofessional attitude. What bothered me most is that I later noticed she only seems to hire women — I’ve seen multiple new female employees brought in since, but not one male hire. It honestly felt like she had already made up her mind before even talking to me.
If you’re looking for a good meal or a fair shot at employment, I’d avoid this Wendy’s completely. Terrible service, bad food, and questionable hiring...
