I have been here now a few times now, it is a bit of a drive from where I live in Fort Worth but that should tell you something about the food. I have now been there with a small group of three also with a larger group of about 10 including an infant and a two year-old. If you go on the weekend, especially a Sunday which I have been there twice on this day. Expect a large crowd and wait. You may also have small problem of finding parking but again that should tell you something. The staff patient in courtesy may be pushed to the limits during busy hours but that is to be expected. We have never had a rude server. If you don’t like close quarter eating or an elevated sound level, it may be best to find a less busy time or order to go. Now let’s get to the food. I have had different selections when I have been they offer up a traditional Vietnamese menu, including vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, fried eggrolls, báhn mí sandwiches and horse, of course phó. Everything that I have had has been phenomenal, but if I had to say what their showcase dish would be, it would have to be the enormous serving of delicious savory Phó! I have frequented many Vietnamese restaurants in my past 30+ years I can say that the Phó here is definitely up to par with some of the best. The highlight of the Phó that sets Ba Le apart from others is that they serve an enormous beef rib that was slow cooked to make the broth! My son‘s girlfriend is vegetarian, being the good father-in-law I am, I snagged a bite from her plate, which was delicious! I would say if you’re in the neighborhood or just want to try something new and are willing to drive hit this place...

Like many others, I’ve been coming here since I was a kid—back then, it was just for their banh mi to go. The restaurant - dark and dingy - was never really popular. But now, 25 years later, they’ve somehow put one of the best bowls of pho on the map.
This pho can hold its own against some of the best spots in Bellaire (Houston) and Westminster, CA. The rib is a showstopper—and probably the reason they’ve gone a bit viral—but every cut of meat in the bowl is excellent. The tái is incredibly tender. The beef balls are perfectly bouncy. Even the off cuts—like intestine and tendon—are clean, fragrant, and almost subtly floral, just like the crust on their banh mi.
Like most restaurant pho, you can taste a bit of MSG on the palate—but here, it’s backed by a rich, full-bodied bone broth with real depth.
To the owners: please—whatever you do—I beg you, on behalf of the entire community, don’t compromise on quality in the name of profit.
This has been an ongoing endemic in the Vietnamese restaurant scene in DFW since the ’80s. As one of the longest-standing institutions in the area, you have something truly special. Please continue to represent us with the same care and pride that’s brought...

As a group of 20 restaurant business owners from Houston, we know a thing or two about good food, and Ba Le Banh Mi in Arlington, TX, absolutely blew us away! We were on the hunt for a quick breakfast, and what we found was a truly authentic Vietnamese culinary experience.
The banh mi here is outstanding – perfectly Vietnamese in flavor and incredibly generous in portion size. We honestly believe it rivals, if not surpasses, some of the most famous banh mi spots in Houston. That's high praise coming from us!
Beyond the delicious food, the prices and service are excellent. "Ba Hai" (whom we assume is the owner) took our phone order with such warmth, enthusiasm, and meticulous care, ensuring everything was accurate. Every single person working there was genuinely friendly and helpful. And let's not forget the Vietnamese coffee – it was fantastic and, paired with the banh mi, made for a truly perfect and quick breakfast. We've already saved the address and will definitely be returning to Ba Le on our next visit to try more of their offerings. If you're in the Arlington area and craving authentic Vietnamese, Ba Le is a...
