Came in on a whim since we wanted brick oven pizza, as well as locally owned. We ordered Mozzarella sticks, a small Mamma Jamma & medium Corky’s special, paid & sat down. About 10-15 mins and received the Corky’s Special, my husband mentioned our mozzarella sticks and were told they were coming. About 5-8 mins later the Mamma Jamma came out & my husband mentioned the mozzarella sticks again & we were told they were coming soon. We placed our order at 7:03pm and at 7:45 I went up & asked for my money back on the mozzarella sticks because we were done eating & obviously not getting them, to which the cashier said they were sitting on the counter. I replied we were done eating & didn’t want them because it had been almost 45 mins since we ordered them & were finished eating. He again said the sticks were “right there” and I said it didn’t matter. The sticks looked like they had been sitting for quite sometime & almost looked microwaved. They ended up giving me back the money. While $6.49 may seem like nothing, honestly, it was the principal. The pizza was good, my son said his pizza was ok just didn’t taste like the dough was fully cooked even though part of the crust has a burnt look to it. Doubt we would ever come back, which is a shame because the pizza was good. Just don’t go and order more than one pizza, you won’t get it at the same time as the other pizza ordered.

Google tells me that I'm in the top 10% of reviewers. FWIW, I don't generally leave negative or low-star reviews because I choose to focus on the positive. This pizza place has great potential to be a place with a renewal such as we have seen on television. I have visited at least 4 times because it is the style of pizza preferred by my Italian friend. However, it doesn't feel clean, and the staff doesn't seem actually that enthused about anything there. Family photos line the hallway *on the way to the bathrooms* but the dining room has faded posters of Italian-Americana. Attached photos show what the women's restroom has to offer. The countertop was actually dusty. Haven't seen anybody with a wet rag or bucket and rag to wipe tabletops. It is seriously lacking what historically was called 'a woman's touch.' High points: corner location with few tables in a large dining area; proximity to major thoroughfares; brick oven, real sugar soda fountain.

I am pssst off as a result of my experience here tonight. First, I see all the images of beautiful pizzas submitted by reviewers. I say to myself, this is too good to be true. Alas, it was. Second, the dough is too thin. It has to be more substantial. A piece should be easily removed from the rest without falling apart. Third, it was extremely charred…no one likes burnt pizza, do they? Whoever is involved in the decisions as to how a pizza should be made needs to take a second look at their processes. Could my experience be an exception? possibly and likely. In closing, there will be no return visits here. You guys blew it with me in almost every respect. The only redeeming factor was the friendly young man who took my order. I asked for garlic to be added for an additional cost of $4.33 . FOUR DOLLARS AND THIRTY THREE CENTS! A very expensive mistake/decision to come here. Save yourself the pain and learn from my mistake.

Not very impressed. If you LOVE cheese, this is the place for you because they apparently layer cheese on everything. The crust was the only thing that was good. Otherwise, pizza was flimsy, and toppings fell off as soon as you picked it up. Loads of cheese on the pizza that was also the gooey, stretchy kind which I felt like I had to chew forever to finish my bite. Way too much cheese on all their pizzas. Supreme pizza I ordered was not supreme. They forgot some standard toppings that go on a supreme. The meat lovers pizza was a little salty. The side salad I received was not fresh at all that it claims to be on the website. The lettuce was wilted and tomatoes dried out. They premade it, put it on a foam plate with plastic wrap and put in the fridge. A clear plastic container or something else would work better to keep it from drying and shriveling up. The spaghetti and meatball pasta I ordered was not spaghetti and meatballs. It was just pasta with meat sauce and a THICK layer of cheese that I had to scrap off to get to my pasta. The flavor of the sauce was good though. They don't offer meatballs. The cheesy bread that came with the pasta was pretty much crusty flatbread that was an oily mess. What kind of Italian restaurant does not serve a general staple of spaghetti and meatballs on their menu!?? That was shocking. So, we tried it and not our place for pizza or pasta. I didn't rate it a one star because the staff was friendly and it was a clean place but unfortunately, this will be a one-time visit. Wasn't impressed with how much it cost for the quality we received. Kind of...

We’ve been to this southwest Arlington restaurant several times, the latest time was this afternoon. We got the Mama-jama XL pizza, and it was delicious! It had bacon, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and Italian sausage on a thin crust. The pizza sauce is wonderful, spiced just right, so that it doesn’t overwhelm the smoky bacon, spicy pepperoni, and savory sausage. It’s a meat lover’s pizza, and the meats are piled high atop the crispy-bottomed crust, so that every bite is loaded with meat. The crust has a wonderful char on the edges, with a bit of a smoky taste from the wood fire. We had leftovers to take home, but decided to order another to take home for tomorrow’s dinner.

Andrew, the night manager, took our orders and was friendly and engaging. He did not rush us to place our order, inviting us to take a menu to peruse at our leisure. He prepared our pizza and we watched him put it into the wood-fired oven to bake. It was only later that I saw Andrew’s photo on the wall, stating that he is the owner’s (Nick) son. While we waited for our take-out order, a young lady came out from the kitchen to clear our table, and thanked us for stacking our dishes to make it easier to bus our table. She asked if we liked our pizza, and after hearing our enthusiastic “yes!”, thanked us for coming in.

This experience was, as were our previous visits, great. The pizza and the friendly staff will have us back,...
