NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY
We came with a party of 9, 5 of those were children between the ages of 3 and 14. Everyone was so well behaved, and my son had one of the dollar store pumpkin decorations propped on top of his glass of water. Please note- it was NOT wet.
When the “head chef” brought the food out she rudely and dramatically took the pumpkin off his glass and placed it on the table next to us and loudly said “this is NOT for your glass”
This is typical of society at this point, I get a lot of people just don’t like kids anymore- but how often do you see well behaved kids and large families?
Food was ok- we likely would have come back but when I was checking out the kids walked outside to wait and were playing with the plastic pumpkins out front. These are SMALL, PLASTIC pumpkins- they CANNOT BE BROKEN. They moved 5 of them from the plant to the small outside table and sat their dolls around them.
This same chef comes over to the register and loudly says in front of me to the server “make sure you go out there and move the pumpkins back to the tree”
Are you serious ?!! I am paying over $200 for this meal in the middle of inflation and instead of “thanks for coming” or any other pleasantries, she instead says this?!
So I asked her if she thought that was appropriate- is her dollar store pumpkin worth being so nasty to a customer who just brought their family for a nice meal, spending their hard earned money just to be treated like this?
I cannot even comprehend how the HEAD CHEF thinks this is customer service!
Making a note how I rarely leave bad reviews, the food can be terrible and I won’t say anything. I much prefer leaving positive reviews. However her behavior, ESPECIALLY after finding out she was the head chef was so shocking I felt I had no choice. Especially considering that I confronted her and she doubled down on her nastiness towards my family.
We will never return, which should be a relief to this establishment as their pumpkins are totally safe.
As I am not sure how to respond to the response below- I am editing my original post and saying this is not a situation that was “felt”- it actually HAPPENED. A plastic pumpkin sitting on top of a 6 year olds glass of water is hardly a reason for a chef to RUDELY snatch it away while nastily talking to him. In what way is this ever acceptable? Would you speak that way to an adult? I’m sure you would not! But because it’s a child you think it’s acceptable?
Not sure that’s even an actual response, it was so poorly written it almost sounds like an AI...
Read moreWe planned a surprise party for my sister from several states away. We liked what we saw based on pictures on Google and FaceBook and determined it was a good fit for 20 of us. We contacted the Toledos via phone, then confirmed via email. They were so easy to work with. We chose a dinner package, cupcakes, other desserts and drinks. The rates were competitive which delighted us. They also coordinated a balloon display. They were ultimate professionals and understood what we were trying to do. They were even sensitive to my sister's dietary needs. Kristene asked all of the right questions to ensure that our vision was realized all the way to minute details such as the napkins. I got there within an hour of leaving the airport and everything was just as agreed upon. The food was amazing. The meats were moist and well seasoned. Each item on the charcuterie was tasty and pleasing to the eyes. We could not have asked for a better team. Everyone in our party felt welcome in this intimate setting. It simply felt like the team at Inspirations Catering & Events were part of our family. Thank you so much for being and doing all we expected and more. You all are...

From the moment we began planning our son’s wedding vow ceremony, Inspirations Fork & Table felt like more than just a venue…it was like being around family! The amazing Toledo family team exceeded every expectation with warmth, grace, elegance and an extraordinary attention to detail.
This was a small, intimate event with only immediate family (14 ppl), yet every element felt grand in meaning and care. The bride’s favorite colors, flowers, and vintage-inspired ideas were honored and brought to life with such thoughtfulness…it was clear her vision was top of mind in everything Kristene planned out.
The atmosphere was classy, personal, and deeply meaningful. If you’re looking for an intimate (formal or casual) space with amazing food and grazing spreads where you’re treated with heart and precision, you have to give Inspirations Fork & Table a call. (Their catering business is mouthwatering). We will forever be grateful for their role in creating such a beautiful, memorable day for our family. With heartfelt thanks to Kristene, Manny and Sydney….I adore you! Lydia, a grateful...
