Mrs. Chen's Kitchen — Restaurant in Arlington

I ordered from this place while visiting DC since they left a menu in our hotel room. While ordering we were disconnected & I tried calling back several times but the line was busy. I indicated that I was paying by credit card right before I got disconnected so I just thought they wasn't going to complete the order. An hour later, they ended up still delivering the food but it was the WRONG order. Not to mention I had to scramble to find cash in my room since they couldn't just CALL me back to get my CC info since that's how I was planning to pay. I couldn't even call them back to complain about the food being wrong. I'm vegetarian & I ordered sauteed veggie plate with rice. They sent over Chicken & mixed veggies!!!! I couldn't eat it. My hubby tried it & he said it was bland.

I’ve been coming here for years since the previous owners. Today I walked in because I had a craving for an Egg roll. Instantly regretted it when ordered.

The manager catched an attitude as I reached for my card. She demanded cash. I told her I would be paying with card. She said no card or else I would be charged an additional $10 for using it. I asked why and she said because my egg roll is only $3 LOL. Like why does the $10 have to do with me? She kept pointing for my wallet to pull out cash. Delish! I was very happy with my food. I ordered Moo Shu pork (made it spicy), pan fried dumplings,hot and sour soups and I requested fried rice I stood white. The loss of two stars I’d most due to their customer service, it was awful, and the fried rice. The lady who took my delivery order was rude and seemed very annoyed that I had called. The kids that delivered my food seemed confused and could answer a simple question. “Do you have change?” “PLEASE SIGN!” Ok. Just wanted to tip you in cash.
