For Five Coffee Rosslyn — Restaurant in Arlington

I was walking around and stumbled upon this coffee shop. I was excited to try something new! The inside was clean and inviting. Lots of tables and all of the desserts looked really tasty. There were no prices for the desserts visibly listed. All of the drinks looked really good and I was excited for the drink I chose until they told me the price …10.25 for a tiramisu mocha! There is no way that this cost can be justified.

I did not want to walk away empty handed, so I ordered the tiramisu latte instead of the mocha. That came out to 7. 25. I just don’t understand the pricing. To add chocolate to the same drink makes it 10.25? they told me that the mocha tiramisu was more expensive because they charged three dollars for a shot of espresso. I can’t even with that logic. and even the seven dollar drink was way overpriced. It was small, not super flavorful, and basically it tasted like I was just drinking brown sweetened milk. A fellow customer today had insinuated a threat towards me after he left his government paperwork all over his couch spread eagle like he was obsolete about it and I just happened to be sitting next to him. Unable to avoid this situation, he chose to speak out, and I’m making this known now. I frequent Rosslyn a lot and I made a pit stop through ForFive. This is possibly the last time I stop at one of these stores if this is how ForFive conducts customer behavior.

As a San Franciscoan, we don’t tolerate that, but I chose to bite my lip over it.

In a coffee store where there’s legally no reasonable expectation of privacy and accessible to the public, don’t leave classified paperwork out. I want this noted to the staff here for...

I want to caveat with everything I’ve had here was absolutely delicious. Having said that, it is so outrageously expensive, it is almost a scam.

Also I’m not some tourist that is shocked by DC area prices… I had a meeting at a colleagues office nearby and stopped in for a quick breakfast to go. I was shocked at $18 for a small coffee and a muffin. Again…. They were really good, high quality, and delicious, but even when accounting for that, WAY too expensive.

Edit: when looking at other reviews, it does appear this place is a scam, charging higher prices than listed on their menu, including an “operational charge,” etc. I would go to compass coffee near by and steer clear of this better business...
