I recently stumbled upon this place in the Arlington area. Whether you’re looking for a quick, satisfying work lunch or an easy take-home dinner, this spot delivers both flavor and value.
The space itself is cozy with a warm, inviting vibe, and traditional Asian decor. When I go through the menu, I found that the prices are refreshingly reasonable, with most dishes around $13 or less, which is a rare find these days for the quality you’re getting.
I ordered the Yu Village Cold Noodles, and wow — this dish was a standout. The sauce was incredibly rich and aromatic, with a perfect balance of creamy peanut butter and toasted sesame flavors. There’s a subtle sweetness that rounds everything out, and the fragrance lingers in the best way. The noodles were perfectly cooked — slightly chewy and chilled just right — which made it an especially refreshing dish. It’s the kind of flavor combo that keeps you going back for just one more bite, even when you’re full.
My coworker tried the Beef Brisket with Golden Soup and gave it a solid thumbs-up. The rice noodles in her bowl were silky-smooth, soaking up the rich broth nicely. The toppings were generous, with tender beef brisket slices that added a hearty touch. She mentioned it wasn’t spicy at all, so it’s a great option for those who prefer milder flavors. She’s already planning to order it again next time.
Overall, Yu Noodle has won a spot on our regular lunch rotation. Great prices, delicious dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere — definitely worth checking out if you’re...
Read moreFlounder with sour pickled cabbage wasn’t bad but salty to the point of distraction. It was so overpowering I couldn’t take more than a few sips of the soup and can’t even remember what the noodles were like. Dinner mate got the intestine rice bowl which he enjoyed much, surprisingly. Other less adventurous mate went with the scallion oil thick noodles with chicken which was very good. If you want soup dumplings to come out first you should tell them. They brought ours out after we got our rice/noodle entrees. The xlb is above average for the DMV which isn’t saying much but it’s alright. Large portion of diners were Chinese which is usually a good sign though it is a new opening. Overall a very solid addition to Rosslyn’s lackluster food...
Read moreThe food is not terrible, but at most average even for DMV area lol. For all the Asian raters who claim this place to be authentic: are you kidding me?! I ordered the basic chongqing noodles, the major problem is from the chili oil: you can't simply replace the presence of Szechwan peppercorns with extra dose of Szechwan pepper powder; the aroma and the taste just couldn't compare, and you make the dish too salty by adding too much of the powder. Also the fried egg would have definitely tasted better if it was not made in advance. Maybe I'll come back again giving this place another chance, but I have to say this is a mid sized disappointment as I was really looking forward...
