I think I may have just had the worst customer service experience of my life. I'm not exaggerating about that.
I went to this Target today and tried to buy a few things. Since Target is too cheap to pay actual cashiers, I went to the self-checkout. I scanned a few items, but when I tried to scan my bananas, the screen on the machine said "thank you for your patience, an associate will assist you shortly."
I looked around. There was an employee next to me. She seemed not to notice. But I figured the system must have alerted someone, so I waited.
The employee walked behind me. I guess she saw the message on my screen. She flagged down her co-worker and pointed at me.
Yes, just pointed. Didn't interact with me at all. Didn't say, "this gentleman needs some help." Just stood there and pointed her long, bony finger at me, as though I were a piece of defective merchandise.
Her coworker said "I'll be there in a minute." To her, not to me. Again, no interaction with me at all.
I stood there for another 45 seconds or so while both employees also just stood where they were, not appearing to be doing anything. Finally, I had had enough, so I left all the things I was going to buy at the checkout machine and walked out.
As I was leaving, I heard the second employee say "oh, he left." Not a single attempt to get my attention, apologize, or avoid losing my business. Not a single iota of interaction with me, even though the store was mostly empty and neither of them were dealing with other customers.
Also, they were selling apples at $1.09. No, not $1.09 per pound. $1.09 per apple. Even the most nefarious Whole Foods executive would consider...
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming. This Target has one thing going for it - convenience. It’s much smaller than a normal Target - think a market of sorts. They will have shirts if you desperately need a shirt, but not a specific shirt you’re looking for. We’ve lived across the street from this Target for a year, and regularly come here to pick up quick items. Often times, the selection is better and cheaper than Safeway, which is the only reason this review isn’t one star. However - about 3 months ago, they started reorganizing the store. Not the whole store - not even the whole grocery section - just a small portion of the groceries. Today, it’s still not done. Many products don’t match the place on the shelf, or don’t have a price in the first place. Beyond that, expect about 25% of your order to ring up wrong. Many products when scanned don’t match the price tag. Sometimes it’s in your favor, sometimes it isn’t. Usually if it’s a dollar or so I forget about it, but today was $6 so I decided to write the review finally. But don’t worry! There are 2 price check scanners in the store, neither of which work. Target, PLEASE. Put some elbow grease into this store. Unless you want to shop at CVS down the street, or go up to Clarendon, your options are here and Safeway - and the Safeway is straight up pitiful. I’ve heard they’re closing down for renovations soon, so unless you step up your game, there’s a good chance you’ll lose some business....
Read moreLegit one of the worst targets I’ve ever been to. It’s tiny, it’s awkwardly and inefficiently shaped, the staff isn’t that helpful if you can even find them and the selection is minuscule. The Food section is cramped and The Toy department is barely 1 isle. It legitimately feels like they put more effort into trying to fit in the space than actually providing a good retail experience. Also the only way into the store is a tucked away, not immediately obvious set of doors that barely fit one person and can very easily be blocked. One time I saw a woman with a dog and a stroller step out of the store and then proceeded to block the only way in or out of the store for what felt like a minute maybe 2 minutes tops, just standing there and sharing a snickers bar with her Dog… an animal that chocolate is toxic to. Did anyone come out and stop her, or at least tell her to get out of the way of the entrance for safety reasons? No! I would only go to this target again if I was really desperate or if they were the only target I could find in the area that had a very specific thing I was looking for. Otherwise I’d recommend going a little bit further down the road to the Targets in either Ballston or 7 Corners, or even go to the massive CVS across the Street. This store is not worth your time,...
