EDIT: Subtracted another star for the stupid response here. Why on earth would I want to waste more time emailing them, when I've already reported the problem to the world here? Do your effing job, and talk to the location yourselves--it's not my job to waste more time trying to improve your stale tortillas and lukewarm food.
What is it with companies that expect people to email them to report a problem? You are not entitled to my money and time. I will not waste any more of either purchasing food from this chain.
If you take things "very seriously" as you claim (love when they post such b.s. marketing-speak), then you will make the required improvements yourselves.
If you are "the owner" as your response claims, then you will handle your business the way you are supposed to--I'm not your employee, and not obligated to email anyone to improve your service. Can these people be any more ridiculous? (This world is effing backwards with its self-entitlement and expectations about everything.)
The service here is usually friendly (especially compared to so much of the rude service in Arlington--this is not like that at all), and the prices are okay I guess considering the area/market, but it's happened too many times now not to mention: the food's not turning out that great.
I'm not a fussy eater and never complain about food in reviews, but here regularly receive corn tortillas that are either hard (stale or not warmed correctly?), or flaking and disintegrating so badly that they obviously shouldn't have been brought to me in that condition. And not just in this location, either.
It also usually isn't hot--maybe a little warm. Though I'm sure it's challenging as a business to keep food warm and fresh and quickly prepared all day long, and have it handed to the customer in that condition as well.
The various fillings are okay, and if they could get the tortillas right it probably wouldn't matter too much.
Actually, I'm not sure why I keep going here based on all that--I suppose it's the decent enough service and pricing as mentioned.
District Taco seems to pay attention to reviews here, so perhaps they'll invest some time in figuring out how to improve the quality of what's leaving the kitchen (and not in attempting to deflect criticism, like so many horrible businesses today).
A little warmer on the fillings, a lot fresher on the tortillas (that and salsa make what's inside matter less), and things will have...
Read moreWe are a small Team, and we often are looking for cuisine outside of the common "pizza" for lunch. The food was below average in comparison to its competition it ranks at the bottom of the list. The presentation was fairly decent numbered nicely to correspond with the receipt, making it easier to distinguish who ordered what. The chips were salty, the queso was filled with water from the condensation which didn't look great, and the tacos and bowls were mediocre. Everyone in the world knows you can't mess up a pregnant women's order, well the churros didn't make it. I called to make them aware, and the "Shift Manager" apologized and said they could refund the money, or we could return to pick them up. Again, this is for our expectant Team Member, clearly, we have to return. With the parking already hectic in the Rosslyn area - 2 Team Members leaving to achieve a mission that should have been successful first time around. I had to suggest extra churros be offered due the whole inconvenience of it all and then the "Shift Manager" agreed to providing more than what was ordered. The rice was also over cooked very mushy and in comparison, to paying an extra charge for extra protein of the "wild pollock." there was no more fish added than what you receive without this selection. So basically, we wasted roughly $200 on a lunch that was not tasty enough, not thoughtfully packed, and where you as a customer must suggest courtesies due to company errors. Hopefully this review assists in the development of a double check system. And a clear understanding of what a customer experiences when patronizing District Tacos...
Read moreI visited District taco on March 10 . I had just delivered my granddaughters birthday cake as it took me 3 days to make. I made my first fondant cake. I ate very little this weekend, I was to focused on mastering my first fondant cake. I ordered fish tacos around 8 :30 pm. I noticed at 1130 my stomach started hurting. I remember this pain as I had food poisoning before. This was one of the worst nights of my life. Finally around 3:50 AM I was able to bring it all out. I remember from before standing will drop your blood pressure and you will pass out. (I did before) I called the manager the next morning and he said no one else called in. By law there has to be 2 reported cases to be considered an epidemic. He showed no concern. I replied reported them to VA health department. The health department recorded my information and followed up for 2 days. This food poisoning has changed my life. I don't eat out much but, I became very paranoid about eating out to the point I totally transformed my diet. I am a business owner and I would never put my customers through this. If this should happen to anyone please seek medical attention and hold the restaurant accountable. And stay away from fish tacos and...
