So thrilled that Victor has opened his new restaurant in Arroyo Grande. We missed his amazing food and are happy to report that his menu is fantastic. We started with the steak bites and french fries for the appetizer. The steak bites were juicy and well seasoned. The fries were crispy and flavorful. I added a side of his famous chimichurri for dipping my fries and I was not disappointed. We moved on to the sirloin steak with mac and cheese for one entree. The steak was cooked perfectly and the mac and cheese was given a double thumbs up from a picky teenager. The bacon crumble on top was genius. The pork ribs were tender and the buttery rice pilaf was amazing. I was able to fit in a few bites of beans and bread (don’t miss out!). The beans were some of the best I’ve had on the central coast, if not the best. Sadly, we were so full we couldn’t have dessert, but watched jealously as our neighbors devoured the chocolate mousse cake and raspberry cheesecake. I highly recommend it!!! Five stars!!! We will...
Read moreSo we decided to try the new restaurant I ordered a fillet, medium rare very tough. The fillet was about the size of big cookie. The bacon was that was wrapped in bacon. It was over salty. The beans were extremely hot with jalapeño in it, which they never said it came with the French bread was a joke. I can make better French bread than that and garlic bread. My girlfriend had the brussels sprouts, which was pretty good but too big and kind of tough. The she also ordered the macaroni and cheese, and she said no bacon, but it came with bacon and zero flavor. We were very disappointed and the food and I made speak to the manager or the owner the customer service the lady that waited or not honest, didn’t do any Remorse about the bill. She just gave us a bill didn’t apologize for the food. I was very super disappointed there was way too many other restaurants around this area that I go to have a lot better...
Read moreI'm a local and I am very partial to our Santa Maria style BBQ. So that being said, the oak smoke flavor is what I am always expecting when getting a steak in this area. So needless to say I was really disappointed with my ribeye because it was charbroil. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned well but it just lacked the best part; oakie smokie deliciousness. My wife had the chicken alfredo and it was also good but not great. The veggies were undercooked and hard as a rock. The service was actually good and the waitress was very nice but they only had her doing all the serving and checks. So when it got busy the service slowed way down. I know they are just getting started and the menu will most likely be tweaked a little here and there so I hope I'm not being too harsh. I will probably be back to try some of the other items on the menu but I really hope they can add an oak pit. ...
