"0 review " I recently visited CAKE CORNER with high hopes of enjoying a delicious meal, but to my utter disappointment, the experience turned out to be a nightmare. The restaurant served me frozen samosas and egg puffs that were clearly spoiled and inedible.
Firstly, the samosas I ordered were supposed to be warm and freshly made, but instead, they were cold in the center and tasted like they had been frozen for ages. The texture was off, and it seemed like the ingredients had lost their flavor. It was evident that these samosas were not prepared with any care or attention to quality.
As if that wasn't enough, the egg puffs I tried were even worse. They had a peculiar smell that hit me as soon as the plate was placed in front of me. Despite my reluctance, I decided to give them a try, and to my disgust, the puffs tasted rancid. It was clear that the eggs used were far from fresh, and I couldn't bear to take more than one bite.
Moreover, the staff's response to my complaint was completely unacceptable. Instead of acknowledging the issue and offering a solution, they seemed indifferent and shrugged off my concerns as if it were a regular occurrence. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for the customer's experience was truly disheartening.
I understand that mistakes can happen in any establishment, but serving spoiled food is inexcusable. It not only ruins the dining experience but also poses a serious health risk. The fact that a supposedly reputable restaurant would serve such substandard food is highly disappointing and raises questions about their hygiene and quality control standards.
I strongly advise against visiting [Restaurant Name] if you value your taste buds and well-being. With a complete lack of quality, unappetizing food, and a dismissive attitude towards customer feedback, this restaurant has shown a severe disregard for basic culinary standards. Save yourself the trouble and find a better place to satisfy...
Read moreI asked a lady if they were mask while cooking the food she said we canât promise that !!!!!! Seriously??? I went in one day to pick up my food and they were not wearing mask while Handling my food! So I was bit worried and even then I requested to wear a mask.
I had put one star before I got a response from the owner. And I am glad I got the response because I love their food but the way that lady handled the situation with my request was totally unacceptable. I have no idea who that lady is because it was on the phone. I have ordered food there many times and the uncle is nice and thatâs why during this pandemic I like supporting small local businesses. But when you receive an answer like above for a basic request it is unacceptable. I believe In doing good so I will change my star ratings now after I have got assurances frond was owner about following wearing mask law specially when handling and cooking customers order! All I have to say is the food is great but that lady needs a attitude check when a basic request is made like wearing a mask. Instead of saying âI canât promise. But if you donât feel comfortable then I can cancel my order! Yes thatâs exactly what she told me.â Say that absolutely we will follow your request. We have a business too and I donât think thatâs too much to ask from a customer who is so regular. Thanks đđź
P.S I have changed my rating because I understand the importance of having your own business but also service and respecting customers request is...
Read moreUpdate: The response we got from Cake Korner for the below: "This cake is made out of fresh cream. The only way to get a perfect and clean decoration would be out of fondant. All our cakes are done the same way. The cake you requested was for 25 people so this cake is for 25 people and was priced correctly. Next time, if you would like a cleaner cake, please let us know, and we will charge you fondant pricing. Cream cakes will always be like this due to it being eggless."
Not once was there was any mention of fondant vs cream pricing.
We ordered a cake for a 6th birthday party on 1/24/2025, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. Initially quoted $120 for a Disney-themed 1/2 sheet cake, we were later told it would cost $135. When we requested custom designs, we were quoted $280â$330, so we chose a design from their cake booklet instead.
The problems:
We received a 1/4 sheet cake instead of the 1/2 sheet we paid for. The frosting lines were uneven and poorly done. The cake became lopsided when the castle topper was added. The service was unprofessional, and when we called to address the issue, we were told, "That's the cake you paid for."
This wasnât the first disappointmentâwe also had issues with a baby shower cake in the past. For the high prices, you'd be better off going to another vendor. I highly recommend Porto's Bakery for better taste...
