I am a regular customer coming at least 2 days per week. I am also a doctor in the area with a large patient base and love having Cava catered to our practice for events as well as taking representatives. After my experience with the GM Dedrick today, I am taking a large break from my addiction to Cava, I will stop having it catered to events, too. I like to have a VERY small amount of saffron rice on top of my sauces on my pita (I like the texture of the sauce/rice mix) and they suddenly wanted $1.25-1.50 for that today, then wanted to put a bunch of rice on like a burrito to justify the cost. No, I just like the extremely small amount of rice I have always had biweekly for several months to a year without issue and I'm not paying for the small amount I want as an additional topping. That is completely absurd. That rice probably cost a penny but you just lost one of your biggest customers over that penny on principal of how stupid this is. Why can you get a bowl with complimentary pita, but not a pita with a complimentary pitiful amount of rice that I always get? Completely pathetic. Read moreSo I didn’t eat here. What I did was peak a long time in the window at 9.00 am because it smelled so good. I didn’t see a menu on the door so I cupped my hands on the window to read the menu board. You see I was waiting for a meeting so I had some time to kill. I noticed the manager opened the door and I walk up to him to tell him how great everything smells. He said can I help you. And I said oh I was just looking and he seemed annoyed with me. So I now had to explain. I walked in and told him how great everything was. I then said hasn’t he ever had a customer do what I did. And he said yes not so long and not as long as you were doing it. I explained that I was reading the menu board. He then told me my behavior was creepy and i shook me head and walked out. Being in the restaurant business I would have hoped that he would have been excited to take interest, explain when they opened and give me a menu and tell me his name. Instead when I walked out he drew the blinds down on all the windows so nobody could look in. Read morethis was my first time at this cava, and i would drive here just for the customer service because i had called the night before and said we were gonna bring over a party of people of about 17 people. the guy who answered it was so nice and said while i couldn't reserve tables, they could see what they could do.
so the next day, we came early, and i asked Stephan, the manager, if he could help us sit at the tables. we ended up sitting outside, and Stephan was so amazing to help us put together the tables so that the party of 12 people who showed up on a Saturday night, was able to enjoy the patio. The food smelled incredible and though it was the first time for a lot of our group, they really enjoyed it. . The restaurant line was filling up quickly but the workers were quite fast. Stephan was such an amazing manager - i had a quick chat with him and wanted to reassure him that his team was really awesome and the place was very clean and very efficient. thank you stephan! we all appreciated you going above and beyond...
