Colorado Consumer Protection Act 6-1-105. This is the worst Texas Roadhouse location I've ever been to. Save your time and money, and don't go here. They will try to cheat you out of your money. Read your bill closely before paying. I felt like I walked into a used car dealership or timeshare presentation after I had left. I'm not sure if they train servers to use deceptive and dishonest practices, but our particular server did. This location uses unethical business practices. The server overcharged us about $10 and insisted that we agreed to it. When I travel, I travel with a set budget in mind, so when I order something, I know what I'll be paying. First, he used deceptive practices on my wife. She ordered a menu item that came with mushrooms, onions, and peppers included. He asked "Mushrooms, Onions, and peppers good on that?" To which she replied yes, because it already said it on the menu. Of course she wanted that with the item. Later on we were charged two "smothered" charges for this, so a little over $5 extra for that meal. When it came to my meal, he asked if I wanted it to be smothered which I naturally asked if that's extra. The server either lied or is not trained, because he then replied, it's about a dollar something extra. I said sure why not... I did agree to my meal being "smothered"... for the dollar something price that the server said. Later on, we discovered that we were also charged two "smothered" charges for my meal too, so another $5 extra charged. This is the part that leads me to believe the server blatantly lied to us to try to get us to spend more. I got fries with my meal... he once again worded "Loaded good with you?" I asked him to explain. He explained the cheese and bacon on it. I once again asked... will that cost extra. He said yes it will, so I just no I want to skip on that. Later on when the meal comes out, I get a plate of loaded fries brought to the table, I immediately interjected because I knew for certain that I declined that add-on. The server even came over and said that he didn't ring it up like that, so he said not to worry about it. Also, for being a server, he didn't bring us any of our food or fill a single refill that I remember. It was always someone from the kitchen bringing out food. Also, to note, the quality of food was very poor. My wife ordered medium well steak, and it was well done with no pink. My ribs were charred and burnt, not sure if it's supposed to be that way, but they were dry and not very good. Anyway, we got the bill and were surprised to see the large fees added on, because we did look at the breakdown of the bill even though the table kiosk defaults to only show you the total price and push you to the payment. It also did show the loaded fries on the order, but with the cost removed. When I asked about the multiple smother fees, he never apologized once, and he never offered to get the charges removed. When I asked about my wife's meal, he claimed that she wanted the smothered extra, when she never agreed to that once. I did agree to one smother charge... but the one that he claimed would be about a dollar. I feel lied to and cheated, and I believe that this Texas Roadhouse is using deceptive practices and unethical methods. I'm not sure if servers are used to getting tourists that don't think about the prices, so they try to rack up their bill as much as possible. It leads me to believe that the server may possibly view it as a commission, the more they pay, the more he gets. Which when it came down to it, he only took the orders which he did a terrible job with. The other employees did the actual work. The table kiosk also defaults to a 25% tip which is ridiculous for the quality of service received. We had plans afterward, and we did not take the time to talk to a manager while there. The waiter did end up just walking away and saying have a good night after the confrontation of overcharging us and not explaining...
Read moreThere is no place like Texas Roadhouse. Cheapest quality steaks I’ve ever found, caring and helpful staff, fun environment, and the best sweet tea EVER.
Almost everything there is made from scratch. Authentic. MADE FROM SCRATCH. I work nearby and see the staff there HOURS before the restaurant is even close to opening. Their dedication to their food is amazing.
I’ve spent well over hundreds of dollars at this restaurant. The staff are kind enough to remember my name and come around and talk to me whenever I come by. They remember my order even if they have only served me once or twice. If there’s ever an issue with the food they will never hesitate to bring it back and fix it for you. Even if necessary they will offer vouchers for the inconvenience. The managers always come around asking how the food is, which is fantastic customer service in my opinion.
P.S. My boyfriend drinks Diet Coke so fast that one of our waiters brought him 3 at a time. That’s customer service above all else
The atmosphere is so much fun. It’s loud, mainly because it’s such a popular place. They have fun lights everywhere, signs, art on the walls, country music always playing, TVs around, and a bar area to hang out at.
Their food is too good to be true sometimes. I usually order a sirloin steak for $14.99. The prices did go up, which makes it harder for us to go, but it’s understandable being that the prices of their competitors are higher. The entrees come with two sides, which makes the price reasonable. And oh boy, their sweet tea is to die for. You can even buy a half gallon or gallon at the To-Go window for $3 or $6.
The cons of the restaurant usually have to do with the wait. They have an app that you can use to put yourself on the waitlist so you don’t have to wait an hour during those busy times. If not, it can be a pain to wait. I do miss their peanut waiting room where you got to throw the shells on the floor, but the peanuts are still available at request.
Overall, top tier restaurant, fantastic staff and very good owner.
As a little bonus, I wanted to talk about their specials and deals they have. During the holidays the staff competes with each other on who can sell the most gift cards. That being said, they give away crazy deals. I know last year (2023) they offered free catering service, free $100, free advertising for a business, and a free meal (I think, or it was a voucher) every month if you spend $900 in gift cards. Of course for the cheaper options they had deals as well. I’ve never seen another restaurant offer as much as they do. For Valentine’s Day this year (2024), they had a jar where if you put your business card into it they would visit and bring bread, drinks, and vouchers. Keep an eye out for those opportunities! You can just tell that this is a very authentic and...
Read moreI was forced to give this location 1 star but they didn’t deserve it. I brought in a party of 5 elderly women for my cousin’s 55th birthday celebration. 4 of us had 1 drink and waters and ordered a 2nd round and was told that the manager cut us off. We waited for the manager to come by to explain what was happening and we eventually had to request her to come to our table. When the manager Sheabrea arrived she said that she was TRAINED on how to tell if we were intoxicated and that we are so she wasn’t serving us. She said that we were being loud. We were sitting directly under a speaker that was playing LOUD country music and the entire dining room was loud, the party next to us was celebrating another birthday and the staff came out and boisterously sang Happy Birthday, and we all clapped and cheered for the birthday man. That apparently proved that we were intoxicated even though we were not. The manager would not listen to us, she kept repeating herself and offered to box our food up so that we can leave, the food wasn’t even at our table yet so basically we were kicked out and she personally escorted us to the door as though we were criminals. She verbally assaulted and shamed us for having 1 beer and water. She didn’t allow us to speak to another manager and she wouldn’t share the information on who her supervisor was, but I was able to get a card at the hostess stand while being pushed out of the door. Rude, accusatory and for the record, I’m deaf in 1 ear so I speak loudly. My bad for having a disability. Not accommodating or understanding and treat elders very badly here. Apparently, there is a 1 drink minimum and the HIGHLY TRAINED MANAGER knows nothing about communicating and recognizing disabilities. She didn’t give us a chance to even speak, it was embarrassing and humiliating. We are all grandmother’s for Pete’s sake. Shame, shame, shame on you Sheabrea, you are not professional and/or trained on how to evaluate an intoxicated individual. I not only took the T.I.P.S. class, but I had to teach it to bar/restaurant owners so that they can roll it out to their employees so that they can get additional savings on their commercial insurance packages that I sold them for liquor liability. I am more trained than you are on what to look out for and you did a very bad job in general, you do not belong...
