everbowl — Restaurant in Arvada

This was my second ever visit to this store and I had a very poor customer service experience. On April 12 I stopped in for a bowl a little before 7pm on my way to the airport. I had no clue they closed at 7 - there were not hours posted on the door or anything. After ordering I sat down to eat in store and my husband was with me too. About 7:10 or so the worker just yelled over to us from behind the counter “WE’RE CLOSED.” It was so bizarre. I was about 4/5 finished but apparently I was an inconvenience that I was sitting there finishing my meal. There are more appropriate ways to handle this: 1) when a guest is paying close to closing time, simply say “by the way we are closing in about 5 minutes but we’ll be here for a little bit yet while we close up.” Or, 2) walk over to the guests table and say “hi, we actually closed 10 minutes ago but I see you’re just about finished so feel free to finish up while we do our closing tasks.” I was so appalled that I just walked out, and the funny thing is on my way out I saw the employee had never even flipped the open sign to closed. So I did it for him. The other thing is I ordered a PB ever bowl and only received strawberries as the topping. No blueberries or bananas as the pictures and description states. There was no mention of this when I paid informing me maybe they were out of those - but in hindsight because it was close to closing maybe the employee didn’t want to do any more work and had already put away those items or something. I really love this place, but I’ve had 3 strikes of things that have happened that I’m very disappointed about. 1st time I came here, they said on maps & the store front that they don’t close until 7pm, I was here at 6:15 & they were closed with no notice. Strike 2, I walked in & the owners wife was working, she was crouched down behind the register, greeted me when I entered but remained crouched down to finish something on her phone. I had to begin my order out loud before she finally stood up to help me. Didn’t appreciate that whatsoever…. Strike 3, I pulled up at the shop at 5:45pm & they didn’t close until 7pm, again, in less than a week, mind you, they were closed early with no notice. Again. Like I said, the food is delicious, on the weekends when they actually have staff, I enjoy the environment & service. But I don’t really care for the owners wife that works there. If you’re gonna be opened, then stay opened. Otherwise I think a lot of people would appreciate if you’d just change your hours & post that everywhere so people can go to a different location if they want to actually get their bowl.. thanks for all the...

Went to the Arvada location and was extremely impressed. It's a cool little spot that incites good vibes! Open and airy, contemporary decor and good music playing! We had the Blue Lagoon bowl and the Pitaya (Dragon fruit) smoothie. Both were very good!! The blue lagoon was layered with Pitaya, Coco Love, and Blue Majic plant based ice creams. A generous layer of Chia seed pudding, fresh strawberries and pineapple, and shaved coconut! There were so many delicious flavors and textures packed into a small package! Far better than I originally expected! The smoothie was very good as well. If yiu know dragon fruit, it has an extremely mild flavor, anr the smoothie captured the essence of it perfectly!
