I had placed an online order for delivery through the Tokyo Joe’s app at Tokyo Joe’s Arvada on January 19, 2020. I realized immediately after submitting the order that I had forgotten to add spring rolls to the order and I immediately hit the cancel order button through the Tokyo Joe’s app and received a text message confirmation that my order had been cancelled. I then proceeded to place the correct order. When the food arrived at my house, it was the first incorrect order that was missing the spring rolls and was supposed to have been cancelled. I called the restaurant and started explaining the situation. The girl who answered the phone told me that I was a liar and I never cancelled the first order, despite the fact that I have written text message confirmation that the order was cancelled. She also kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain that I had received a text message from the restaurant saying the order was cancelled. I then asked to speak to a manager. This manager proceeeded to hang up on me after five seconds of answering the phone. My father then called the restaurant back asking for the manager’s name to file a complaint at corporate. This manager told my father that we would have to contact door dash ourselves and ask them to go back to the restaurant to pick up to the spring rolls and deliver them to our house. He also told my father that he would make sure we were refunded for the order that had been cancelled. I tried to find the customer service number for door dash without success. So we called the restaurant back again. A different manager answered the phone and told my father he would call door dash and have them come back and pick up the order to deliver it to our house. After an hour of not receiving our food, we called the restaurant back again and the first manager answered the phone. He told my dad, “I’m not calling door dash. It’s your problem.” Then proceeded to hang up on him. This was the absolutely worst experience we’ve ever had with any restauarant at all, let alone any Tokyo Joe’s restaurant. I order from Tokyo Joe’s at least once to twice a week but I can guarantee you I will NEVER support this establishment EVER again. They clearly do not know how to talk to customers and have zero people skills or customer service skills. It was appalling and they should be absolutely ashamed of the leadership and management at Tokyo...

Tokyo Joe's food is so refreshing from our typical fatty food restaurant meals.

Tokyo Joes has a wonderful and friendly staff as always, and as soon as I order, no matter how picky I am, the food will be out in 3 minutes. Every time. It’s a bit different from a traditional fast food restaurant. I like to think of it as a mix between a sit down and fast food restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the meals to you. When you’re done eating they will pick up after you.

As for the atmosphere, it is pretty typical. I like that their booths are super spacey, and they have high top tables as well. Nothing super special though.

Their food quality brings me back almost everyday. I’ve noticed that they always result in better ingredients, though their food is still decently cheap. Around $12 for a bowl, and a bento box combo with a cookie and a drink included is $16. Really not bad at all.

Something that I admire that some restaurants have is their sweet tea. Tokyo Joe’s tea selection is amazing! They have raspberry hibiscus, black berry, unsweetened, sweet and other flavors that taste natural and pure, not like Fuze from a fountain. They also use Stevia for their sweetener which is a good option.

All in all, it’s a really great place to eat if you’re trying to get there in a rush. I remember approaching the restaurant playing the radio, going in and ordering, then coming out and getting into my car for the same song on the radio to still be playing. That’s how fast they are. The environment isn’t anything super special but they have a comfortable environment and their food is absolutely worth a try at least one time. Go get...

The updated/edited part* ---- Got my meal, written on my sushi boxes is "Gluten Allergy : ) " with a smiley face. The message was obviously passed on from lady who took my call (even though she rushed and was slightly rude but we are only human) and the food was amazing as always. Tokyo Joe's is easily the best option for me when it comes to eating out gluten free, safely with really affordable, pretty healthy (if you choose to be), and always delicious. Will definitely be back!.* Original Post----- so when I called because I ordered through PostMates App and have Celiac disease (allergic to gluten) and wanted to let them know my order was an allergy order. I could hear in the background that they were very busy and understandably so at lunch time but I was rushed on the phone by a lady (just to be clear I've been in her position and during a rush an allergy order throws everybody off so I understand but the times I did that she did, I know I was wrong and let the rush get the best of me...in other words all is forgiven and i like to think she doesn't do this consistently) who instead of asking me to hold until she found a good time to talk she rushed me interrupted me by saying yeah we'll make sure to put gluten free and then proceeded to hang up on me. So for future reference please just put me on hold or tell me to call back so I don't end up being worried during a rush if my food will be made carefully. I'd rather wait and be confident in my meal than be rushed and worry about...

Came in for lunch today and it was delicious! I hadn't been to a Tokyo Joe's in years and mentioned it to the staff. A very nice employee (I believe he is the manager) suggested I try the ramen, since it was cold out. It was amazing! The staff was personable, the food was tasty, and the place was very clean. I also couldn't believe how fast they were! Can't wait to come back.
