Blake's Half Baked — Restaurant in Asheboro

Well!!! Overhyped would be my description. We had lunch here during the Asheboro Fall Festival. We ordered two whole sandwiches. For the Birds and The Smitty. One was ordered on Califlower, the other on White. Both were to be toasted crispy. The first time we received our order, the order was made incorrect with the breads switched. The second time, we got our order after sending the first order back. The lady that made my wife's sandwich actually told us she had lost part of it. The first order came with four pieces, the second time it came with three. What do you say when told something like that? Only one was toasted extra. I also ordered a side of bacon ranch pasta. It was like having pieces of pasta glued together with a very thick paste. I didn't taste or see any bacon. I really wanted this to be great. It...

The food for the most part was really good, the chicken gnocchi soup however was extremely oily and gritty , the Italian sandwich I got was really good but the amount of meat on it was very minimal for the price definitely needed more considering the amount of breading , their salad was really good the ranch dressing was amazing, my husband got the Rueben and his was really good and had ample toppings! I am aware the prices everywhere are increasing however we were told several times the prices of the small soups were 4.00 then told They no longer do small soups which was disappointing we wanted to try several Because this was a new place for us, maybe we will give it another try I had heard several good things about this place but was a little Disappointed , those that were working were...

Excellent. Very casual atmosphere, you order at counter, they bring to your table. Chicken gnocchi soup was excellent. Not just a broth with some cream...great flavor and texture. Sandwiches were quite filling. I had the Italian...better half had the chicken salad. Both were delicious. The wedge style bread reminds you of a cross between pizza and pita. Not thin, not thick. well cooked but not crispy crust, soft on inside. If i had to find a problem it would be that they are too far away from us for lots of return visits.
