I went to the tunnel Rd, Asheville shop yesterday and it was amazing! Best ice cream around... Susan was the sweetest employee I've encountered anywhere in quite some time, so I decided to go back today! Susan wasn't there, no employee was but I sat on the couch and waited. My experience was so good yesterday, I didn't have a problem waiting. When a young girl finally walked in, she grabbed a broom and started sweeping, while on her phone, throwing it the "f" bomb almost every other word. When she finally looked up and saw me, I asked if she worked there, she said yes, and I stood up, said thank you and headed for the door, while she's telling me I'm being rude..... So much more to the story... However. I knew the same man owned the "South of Philly" (Susan bragged about it yesterday) so I went over there to speak to the manager. Was a whole nother story! Just continued to get worse. I will not go in either place if those 2 employees are working. The young one probably doesn't know any better, but the "manager" definitely should. Where was Susan?! She needs a bonus, big thumb's up, or at least kudos for her job...
Read moreWe made an impromptu stop in here on our way down the mountain for our weekly Sunday grocery shopping and I'm so happy we did! The cones here are made fresh. Now when they told me that, I thought they meant they make them fresh every day for the day, but I quickly realized what they meant was that they make it fresh per order! (Which also means the warmth of the cones melt the ice cream a little, so just know that for when you get to the bottom of your cone because it can get a bit messy- but still so good!) And bonus- they offer cinnamon, vanilla, and chocolate flavored cones a well! So Good!!! And the ice cream... Omgee!!! The ice cream! The pumpkin pie... The banana pudding... The apple pie... The coconut chocolate almond... AMAZING!!! The service was equally good! The 2 young ladies behind the counter were both so friendly and happy! You know it's a good day when you find both good service and ice cream!!! 😉 We will definitely be stopping...
Read moreComing here was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve had visiting Asheville. The ice cream was sooo delicious! And the menu allows you to be creative with its multitude of different flavors and made to order brownies and cones! My girlfriend and I had the milkshake, soda float, coffee with ice cream in it and the hot B with little blue panda ice cream on top ( Pictures include everything except the milkshake). Everything was so good it’s hard to pick a favorite! On top of that the owner and the staff are really friendly and welcoming people who are great to have a conversation with! The ice cream was great but meeting the owner Christian ( I hope I spelt that right) was even better! 10/10 recommend you...
