Cook Out — Restaurant in Asheville

Tonight I the WORST experience ever. It started with the order taker taking my order wrong 3 times. I won’t lie I yelled at him my order because he got it wrong 3 times. Then I pulled up and he was super rude to me and when he handed my my bag he threw my credit card into my floor while the bag was over it. I was completely done by now. I kept saying that it was my fault and that he was never do that. I asked him for his name and he refused to give it to me. I asked to speak to the manager and he refused to let me. So, I asked him for his name again and he refused. Then he shook his finger in my face and was yelling at me. I yelled at him to get his “f-ing” finger out of my face. He slammed the window in my face. I sat there roughly 5 minutes and finally had to honk my horn to get his attention because I was not leaving without speaking my to a manager. Even then he refused but Said she was standing behind him. I demanded to speak with her. This heavy set red headed woman came to the counter and refused to give me her name. Quoting that it was personal information and that they didn’t have to give out personal information. It’s not personal information to have an employee’s name so that you can file a complaint against them. The only thing she did was roll her eyes at me and tell me she’ll pull him aside for a conversation. When I asked for her name she refused again. I left and immediately called corporate. The only thing that gives experience a star is how quickly the corporate office called me back and I was able to file a complaint. I was given my credit card transaction receipt but the order receipt was attached with the Cashiers Name: IKponmwoa

The cook out on tunnel road is the worst, go to the one on Patton. I used to work here and it’s not the most sanitary. I just went with my friends, because they wanted to go to the cook out on tunnel, and even though I didn’t want to I still went. We get there and there’s a homeless man on drugs motioning at the windows of my car and making me uncomfortable already. I got my food from the drive thru and we parked to eat at the picnic table, and the homeless man comes up to us and starts talking to us, and is nice at first until we mention something about gay people and he begins to be VERY homophobic towards us, so much so that he hits my boyfriend in the back of the head with a bag full of rocks. So my friend flashes her tazor at him and I go to the front to get the managers (I didn’t want a fight breaking out and the cops being called). Bless you to the woman who got the homeless man off the property you are a saint and I’m sorry I banged on the window so hard, my adrenaline was pumping and I didn’t want anyone to be harmed, but they did overcharge me 2 dollars which I’m going back for tomorrow because that’s not cool, but overall the environment isn’t safe and I won’t go there again. We were just there (8/23 @ 12:45/1:00) and had probably the best service I’ve genuinely ever had at a fast food establishment. We did order a lot of food as we have a big family and have quite a few mouths to feed. The gentleman who was at the speaker was so kind from the time I got to the speaker till I got to the window. Every other time I’ve been to this location I’ve gotten attitude as I would place my order(again it’s a pretty large order but it’s definitely not that unreasonable) and instead getting upset he took my order like it was nothing. And as soon as we got to the window he was just so nice and attentive and made sure we had EVERYTHING. He checked the bags multiple times and told the kitchen what he needed instead of just passing me the order with part of it missing (like every other time we’ve ordered.) If he’s not a manager or making the highest wage he needs to be because THAT is how you treat a customer. I wish I would have gotten his name cause I definitely want him to take my order every time I go! Also food was freaking fantastic as always and ice cream was perfect so also thank you to the kitchen staff and guy who was on ice cream!!
