My experience with rooms to go has been a disaster. I purchased a $1000.00 lift recliner a year and a half ago and it sure has been a piece of crap. Within months the recliner broke and since I paid for the extended warranty they did come out after over a month and ordered the piece they needed to fix it. When the piece come it was the wrong part. Since it at been so long that the chair couldn't be used they delivered a new chair to me. Less than a year later the chair is not only broke but the material has torn around the bottom where it hits the ground when trying to close. The big stitching also has come unstitched on the seat and arm. Once again after sending pictures and calling the Guardian company that carries my warranty, no contact or service has been made. I finally went to the store in Asheville NC and told them what a piece of crap the chair was and to see if they could get Guardian to contact me. At first the lady was very kind and helpful and told me not to worry about that chair and gave me a 1000.00 dollar credit that I had to use that VERY Day. I picked out another recliner that I could use to sleep in for my shoulder replacement. I didn't want another lift recliner because of my experience with the first one. So I picked out a Lane Reclincer. It didn't come up to the 1000.00 that I had to spend and they wouldn't let me keep the left over credit so they made me walk the store until I used the remaining balance or lose it. I finally decided on a 150.00$ pillow....🤣🤣...really....150.00$ for a pillow....but I bought it and owed $7.00. I paid the balance and the chair was delivered on Dec 24th with no problem. I ask the sales associate that was helping me what they would do with the broken recliner and she SAID, we will pick it up and throw it in the dumpster. I said "that's excatly where it needs to be" we laughed and I went home. As it was Christmas and I already had the Christmas tree up and other decor up for my grandchildren that were coming into town, I had no room to store the broken down chair and my partner ask me what I wanted him to do with the broken chair and I replied" they said they would pick it up and put it in the dumpster. He replied "well we have no where for it so I will take it up the road to the dumpster and help them out with that". So the deal was done and I was ready for my new chair. I had to leave right after Christmas to go to Florida as my sister was having major surgery. After sitting in the hospital for 16 hours I received a call from Rooms to go and the lady was so v Ugly to me. She said they needed the broken recliner to replace the new one and I plainly told her it was throwed in the dumpster where it belonged, that the sales associate that helped me plainly told me when I ask her what they would do with it, she said they would pick it up and throw it in the dumpster. They lady told me the sales associate had worked there many years and would have never said that. I ask her if she was calling me a liar? No, she replied then proceeded to tell me again the lady did NOT say that and they were billing me 1000.00 for the new recliner or they would come to pick it up. I told her plainly that I was not paying for the new recliner that she was the very one that gave me the credit for the new chair and I had the receipt that it was paid in full. That I had come in to get them to help me with the warranty, not to get a credit or a new chair. That I had done them a favor by disposing of the chair because that's what the associate at told me. Again. I was called a liar. That's when things got very ugly and I told her I was in the hospital with my very ill sister and I didn't have time for this. She told me to call when I got home from Florida and they would be to get the chair. I told her it wasn't EVER going to happen that she had made the deal, not me and I was NEVER paying for the chair, and told her where she could pick up the broken chair in the dumpster. I WILL never do business with these people EVER again, and never been called a liar by a store...
Read moreWe ordered a queen size mattress and adjustable base from the Asheville Rooms to Go to. We live 40 minutes outside of Asheville and we asked for delivery to our home with take away of old mattress. Two delivery people arrived, one was smoking while unloading and immediately upon meeting me outside said, "we may have to reschedule, there are steps." The delivery people remarked about an electrical line, our moving van had no issue with the electrical line. Plus there are 2 visible drive way routes to reach our home. Upon entering our home, "we may have to reschedule for our safety ". We have interior stairs in our home up to the bedroom. One delivery person carried the mattress and the other person carried the adjustable base. "This is heavy" person carrying the base. I questioned the delivery people about if they had to reschedule who would deliver? Not sure I got an answer. The delivery persons would not take the mattress and box spring. I said, " we purposely drove to Asheville Rooms to Go, so we could have delivery and take away." Otherwise, we could have ordered the matress from a different vendor online. He said there was a stain on the mattress and box spring. One delivery peraon said, "you wouldn't want this next to your "new' furniture. We were stop 5 of 7. I highly doubt that it would touch other orders. I sent the photos to the sales person at Asheville Rooms 2 Go of the mattress/box spring after the delivery people left, without our old matresses. I spoke with the sales person and sent an email and photos to her. I have not heard back. Almost a week later, the mattress and box spring remain upstairs in our hall. I am almost 60 years old and am unable to take the box spring/mattress safely down by myself. I do not have a truck to take the box spring/mattress to the dump. I am not pleased with the delivery ir follow up with out...
