I'm in a wheelchair and hypoglycemic. I just wanted to go through a drive through in order some food to stabilize my blood sugar. The woman in the checkout was kindly helping me and when I mentioned my dairy allergy, she Instructed me to Park and come inside. I explained that I was by Myself and that I couldn't lift my wheelchair by myself. I was just hoping to get some drive through food. She said that's okay, just look up the ingredients in the buns and honey mustard... I looked up the buns which should be dairy free. She said actually she could look up The ingredients in the honey mustard. she asked her supervisor what the ingredients were. The supervisor spoke to me directly and said that she didn't know what the ingredients are and that I was holding up the line. I explained that I was only doing what the Server had instructed me to do. The supervisor told me I could come inside. I explained again that I am in a wheelchair and I cannot lift it by myself. She repeated that I was holding up the line and told me. I could park and look it up. I was trying to proceed with the order but she didn't seem interested in allowing me to place an order at that time. She told me I could drive-through again after I had looked it up , which was confusing because I had already looked it up and clarified that I just wanted to order my sandwich... This is really frustrating and I can feel my blood sugar crashing. I don't feel that this was the most professional way to handle this situation as someone who has spent the better part of a decade in hospitality. It is clear that even though the server was trying to be helpful, overall. There is a lack of coordination and an unwillingness to assist potential customers who just want to give you money for food. I kind of thought that was the whole point. 🤔
Shout out to the kind server who was actually interested in assisting me. The one good thing about this...
Read moreI have lived in asheville for decades most places you can understand if someone is just having a bad day and they are a little lacking on courtesy everyone is human and it doesnt take much to make me content. However, on 4/30/2024, i had the first experience of my life where i felt the need to leave a google review. Congrats burgerking at 85 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC 28803, you have made me leave my first ever google review. It is currently 6:45pm as i am typing this review so not late night hours at all. I was just greeted with the iciest tone i have ever heard through a drive thru speaker in my 36 years of life. I had a simple order i feel of 2 double cheeseburgers a medium fry and 8 piece nuggets. After ordering my 2 burgers and still looking over the menu i was greeted with a very aggressive "is there anything else" at this point i was already a bit shocked by the tone. I continued with my order unfortunately at this point matching the aggressive tone yes i would like a medium fry and 8 piece nuggets the response i recieve in a more agressive tone "anything else?" To which i once again match the tone with saying bbq sauce i then proceed to pull around from the druve thru menu to the pay window. I am sitting behind another car waiting at the window for quite a few minutes as im thinking about my interaction at the menu speaker minutes before and decided i no longer wanted my order. As soon as i had the room to pull away from the car in front of me i did. Keep the fries burgers and nuggets bk idc for an attitude that is so terrible i felt like i was going to have spit in my food from the speaker interaction. Whomever it was on the drive thru at this time and date she is...
Read moreFor anybody that's doing Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc., do not come to this sorry excuse of a restaurant! I was supposed to pick up a DoorDash order from this restaurant a few days ago, but since it looked like the lobby was closed (I was right because I couldn't see any customers inside and it looks like it's always closed every time I'm near there) I had to go through the drive-thru. I had to wait at least 10 minutes before the vehicle in front of me moved and when I said that I was here to pick up a DoorDash, they told me I had to come INSIDE! So they want me to come inside even though the lobby is closed? When I try to do that two employees standing outside said that the lobby was closed and that I had to use the drive-thru. I told them what I was here for but they said it didn't matter. Well then what was the whole point of coming here in the first place?? This place should not be partnering with any food delivery service ever! On top of that, the employees I spoke to were completely dishonest. To sum it up, I wouldn't recommend this place at all not just for food delivery, but for getting food in general. I will never bother coming back to this place again. You're much better off going to the Burger King that's located in West Asheville (right next to I-40) as I've had much better...
