Cheri Nails Bar — Local services in Asheville

I called and scheduled my appointment as soon as they opened today. I requested a 4 o'clock time slot and was told I was good to go. I got there 15 minutes early to check in. I was told you have a seat that I would have to wait. That wasn't an issue as I could see they were busy with lots of walk-ins. However the problem arose when 6 people who did not have appointments were taken back immediately While I was still left in the lobby waiting. An hour and a half after my appointment I finally asked the technician how much longer it was going to be and why walk-inswe're getting serviced before the people who had appointments. I was told that I would only be waiting a few minutes longer. That few minutes ended up turning into 2 more hours!! I was literally the last client left in the salon. One of the technicians named Sherry took pity on me and even though it was time for her to get off and leave she felt horrible about how long I had been waiting and did my service. Now Sherry is a beautiful black queen who deserves the upmost respect! She is so talented and beyond sweet! The other techs decided it was ok to make remarks about Sherrys appearance, her clothes, and her work all because she decided to stay and do my service!! They refused to take out her garbage and sweep her station (closing duties) and instead belittled and tried to embarrass her. I've been coming to this salon for years but I refuse to go back. What I witnessed tonight was unprofessional and completely disgusting!! While checking out I asked for a discount due to me being skipped over and what should have taken an hour tops, took 3 and half. I was laughed at and told they don't do that type of thing. Had I have at least been informed of a longer wait time I would've been fine and probably would've come back but after seeing first hand the way they treated Sherry, I won't spend another dollar there and I hope you don't either. So sad and so...

I needed a pedicure and was on the other end of town from where I usually go. I saw this nail salon and decided to go in. My first clue should had been there was only 1 customer in the place. Most nail salons in Asheville always have customers waiting. The place was very clean and professional looking so I thought it would be ok. It started out very well. My manicurists, Tracy, was very nice spoke great English and I was satisfied until......she cut my toe! I'm not just talking about a scrape I'm talking about a chunk. It started pouring blood. She worked and worked trying to get it to stop bleeding. One of the other manicurists came over and said he thought it would be ok as she kept wiping the blood. I said, yes it should be ok. At that point I really didn't know what had happened and I was wanting to get out of there. She apologized over and over while she tried to stop the bleeding. It took over 20 mins. to get the bleeding stopped. (Nope I don't take blood thinners) I told her it was ok and went to pay. They do not take credit cards or debit cards!! They use Venmo and about 4 other sources. (I really couldn't think well I was worried about my toe.) Thank God I had some cash!! Who carries cash? I usually don't write a review but I do want you to beware and not go here. After I came home I started reading reviews and there are just too many ppl that have gotten injured at this salon. Just don't go. FYI it's been 3 days of pain and I've kept antibiotic cream on it at all times. It is getting better I just don't want an infection. I know ppl make mistakes but I really feel this place...

I've been to several nail 💅 salons in my lifetime, but Cheri's Nail Bar is the most professional one I've ever been to. All the staff is very friendly & caring & everyone goes out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want done to your nails!💅 They are very creative & come up with the most beautiful designs for your nails! I love getting my pedicures done there too! My toenails always look pretty just like my fingernails when they do my pedicures for me! The massages I get with my pedicures there, always helps with the inflammation & swelling in my feet & lower legs too. The staff all goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, happy & always made to feel appreciated as a loyal client there! Their nail bar is also the cleanest, most sanitized one I've ever been to as well! Their atmosphere is nicer than any other place I've ever been to also! Today I went & upon me leaving, they even suprised me with a gift bag of goodies for Christmas🎄 & thanked me for being one of their clients there! ♥️That really meant a lot to me, as I really appreciate them so very much too!! I look forward to always going there!!! They most definitely have 5 stars from me! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 If I could give them 🌟 a million 🌟 stars 🌟 I most definitely would!! Thanks to everyone at Cheri's Nail 💅 Bar!!
