Quick Review: Large portions, quick service, wonderful staff, welcoming ambiance, convenient location, and mouth watering flavor. Simply one of our favorite places to eat and spend time.

LONGER REVIEW BELOW

Group Size(s): Only been with 2 of us, but we've seen larger groups of 6+ get the same wonderful treatment and quick service as us.

How many times we've been: 5+

What we ordered: We've had both breakfast and lunch at Regina's and usually try whatever the special is, but we've also had their biscuits in various forms, waffle, Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Shakshouka

What we spent: $30 - $40. We usually share one plate, a side, and a drink. Any single plate we've ordered is more than enough for 2 people. Often times the special is enough for 3+ people.

What we liked: Food: EVERYTHING. Seriously. We've cleaned the plate of everything we've ordered and left eager to come back. Service: The staff has always been so friendly and eager to get our opinion on the food. We're always stunned with how quick the food comes from the kitchen. Location/Ambiance: We really appreciate the large parking lot and convenient location of Regina's. Enough positive things cannot be said about the very cute and welcoming ambiance inside the diner.

What we didn't like: Food: Prices are daunting at first but that concern is quickly nullified with the combination of size, quality, and flavor of each dish. Service/Staff: No issues. Location/Ambiance: No issues.

Comparisons to similar places in the area: Higher priced breakfast/brunch spots are a dime a dozen in Asheville, and Regina's sticks out from the crowd with their generous portions, wonderful crew, and absolutely delicious food. For the price point, it's hard to find another restaurant with such quality and quantity.

Our rating system: 5 stars = Great to amazing food and experience. Shout from the roofs to tell people about. Return often and eagerly or find excuses to book a table for a more expensive place. 4 stars = Good to great food and experience. Write home about. Eager to return. 3 stars = Ok to good food and experience. Will offer suggestion if asked but likely would rather go elsewhere. 2 stars = Underwhelming to ok food and experience. Not worth a return and might tell people to skip. 1 star = Bad to underwhelming food and experience. Regret going and tell...

Went for lunch. The Deviled Crab Hushpuppies were good, but many of them were undercooked internally and were gooey. None of them were the same size, which is probably why they were of uneven quality. The meatloaf was the best thing and was VERY good. The mashed potatoes and the gravy on them seemed straight off the Sysco truck and were not special. The meal was supposed to come with green beans but instead arrived with collards without explanation. The collards were, however, excellent. My friend had the Regina Rachael, a turkey Rueben, that had top-notch turkey on it but almost no sauerkraut and very little of the other ingredients. The side order, a gnocchi salad, was surprisingly bland. There were no salt and pepper shakers, napkins or condiments on the table. Service was passible. The waitress did not write down our order but got it right. A 3% fee for tipping the Kitchen staff was on the bill. There was no notice or mention of this until it arrived. PAY YOUR STAFF A LIVING WAGE! The meals were expensive even by local standards but we were indulging to give the new place a shot at impressing us. Bottom line: Not bad for a soft opening weekend. The place is heading in the right direction but isn't there yet. It will rise or fall on it's ability to be consistent in quality. Given the cost of the meals I can see why some people have left bad reviews. If they are going to be charging these prices they need to be hitting home-runs with every plate. I'll give them about 6 months and go back to...

I can’t say enough amazing things about Regina‘s Westside! From the vintage interior design to the service and the amazing high-quality food. A quaint spot, and the coffee is hot! Chef and the team do an excellent job of creating that special something in every single meal. High-quality ingredients served with a smile and a nice, engaging laugh! I recommend the shrimp and grits, the avo toast is phenomenal! The marriage of flavors is just fantastic! The wedge salad is fresh, light, crisp and packed with tons of flavor! I’ve been to Regina‘s three times now, hoping that my first visit wasn’t just an amazing fluke. No, this wonderful diner delivers every single time without fail. Prices are a smidge on the higher side, but once you taste your food, you will be happy that you slightly splurged for your quality meal! I would put Regina‘s up there with amazing dishes I have had in New York, and if you’ve eaten in New York, you know what I mean!

If you are in Asheville and are looking for an amazing breakfast or lunch experience a little off the beaten path and away from all the hoopla that is downtown Asheville, this is your place! I literally come here (or DoorDash) every weekend now! Wonderful job, ladies! Absolutely...

Comfortable, wonderfully friendly atmosphere. The building is split into two dining areas plus a large patio area in the back. Plenty of parking. We enjoyed a diverse range of tasty brunch dishes - pea fritters, shakshuka, and a perfect mushroom toast. The coffee is strong and plenty, we also enjoyed a mimosa and bloody Marys (with alcohol and virgin). On our way out we couldn't resist getting some (mouthwateringly good) carrot cake and a few loaves of sourdough and focaccia (provided by a local micro bakery). They thoughtfully packaged everything up for safe, non-crushing travel. This place is not only worth a visit, but repeat return meals!

For Sunday brunch with friends before leaving Asheville, we choose Regina’s comfort classics on Patton by recommendation from a friend. We WERE NOT disappointed!!! Service: impeccable. Food: incredible. Atmosphere: ideal. The weather was lovely after the rains had come through, so we sat outside on the patio behind the building. Nice and quiet for conversations back there. Our server (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember.. 🤦🏻‍♂️) was prompt, knowledgeable and came to the table just the right amount. The food was delicious, filling and nostalgic. 10/10 would recommend and visit again!! We also got a peak at their upcoming dinner menu 👀
