First time here for the dinner buffet because of it's high rating. Tbh, it's just alright when it comes to the variety they have. I did not know we could request for pizzas that we want, (I've already left the restaurant) until i saw one of the reviews that mentioned it. So yea i did miss out on their pizzas. They had what seemed weird to me for pizza choices. There were no labels as to what pizzas were up, so i am only guessing based on the toppings i see. They had jalapeno and banana pepper, mushroom and onions, pepperoni, cheese and lastly something with bacon bits on it. They would replenish them regularly but it's weird when common pizzas like supreme or hawaiian isn't up there. Their pizzas aren't too bad taste wise but i do wish i had requested for hawaiian (YES i am one of the rebels who like pineapples on my pizza!!) or bbq chicken. Everything that was up there by default just wasn't any pizza i wanted. Their baked spaghetti's pretty good so that's what i pigged out on mainly. Their salad bar was weird to me too. I took a picture of it but it wasn't clear enough unfortunately. Besides lettuces on both sides of the mini bar, there was nothing much that can go along with the greens, they had salami, cucumbers, canned peaches, onions, jalapeños, some diced up pink stuff, croutons and then the rest were all dressings. Ranch, thousand island, chocolate dressing and something white that i assume is a dressing? No tomatoes, carrots, olives or things like that. And i see people rave bout their salad bar..... it really makes me wonder if we are seeing the same stuff. Because i am not a picky eater at all but things being put up here is not in the least common for even a basic salad bowl. Jalapeños? Like huhhhh or have i been fancy and i didn't know it XD

Environment wise, it's alright but they seemed understaffed or something. The entire restaurant is waited on by only one friendly lady. Many tables were not cleaned up after customers leave. She would shift the plates and cups over to other tables when customer wants a certain table but no one cleans it up even if its all piled up right by the kitchen door. Poor lady needs to make small talk (it seems like she knew almost everyone who came in), get refills, get orders, clear tables etc. Definitely could do better in terms of cleaning up since customers are supposed to seat themselves.

To end this review, the dinner buffet only cost 23+ for two adults so i would say it's a very affordable price for a buffet. If i knew i could request for my own pizza it would definitely make the experience even better but overall, its not that bad. Would give it another try if i am in the area when i have...

If i could give this place negative one million stars I would. It all started when me and my boyfriend called and ordered an 18 inch party special with a 2 topping pizza (all cheese), cheese sticks, a cookie and a stromboli sandwich. They said it would take and hour to arrive and the total was $34.91. We said we would pay $10 on a card and the rest in cash when the driver arrived.

When the driver arrived we paid the remaining $24.91 plus a small $1 tip. I signed the receipt and and we sat down to eat. We first noticed from top glance that the pizza looked like it had been sitting out for days. Very dry and for it to be a double cheese pizza the cheese didn't ever go to the edge on half of it. We also noticed that our stromboli sandwich was missing.

We then called them back and told them that we wanted a refund or the pizza to be replaced. The night manager told us that she couldn't refund it but would make another pizza and send the sandwich back with the driver.

The next morning around 10 am, I checked my bank account to see how much my check from work was, when I noticed that the entire charge of $34.91 was taken off my card. I called Giovannis back and told them what happened with the total. It was a different manager who answered. She said to call back around 5 pm because she had to discuss it with the delivery driver who she said didn't come in to work till 5 pm. I told her I would call back at 8 pm cause i didn't get off work till 7:45 pm.

After work I called back at 8 pm and then same night manager from before answered. I asked to discuss the total. She told me "I already discussed this with you three times already". I told her that this was the first time I had been able to talk to her about this issue. She then told me that there was nothing that she could do about any of it. I began to get agrivated. I asked her "so let me get this straight. You aren't going to refund the $24.91back to my card?" She said no she WOULDN'T REFUND IT.

So in conclusion, this Giovannis on Greenup Ave in ashland would rather lose two customers who have spent A LOT of money to eat there over $34.91. When they could have been honest, and let's face it (human) and just refunded the money that was rightfully ours. I wouldn't eat at this Giovannis restaurant again if it was the LAST pizza place...

I ordered from here and I have never had so much problems with a pizza place. First I was told I was getting my pizza for a certain price, when I go there it was 4 dollars more. I was told I was getting a certain bag of chips, got there and they did not even carry them. I ordered my pizza with pep and sausage with olives on part. Got there there was no olives. I went back in to tell them they did not put the olives on. The manager looks and the pizza and goes "hmmm" I can take the pizza back and put some on or give you some, in the rudest like dude at least you got your pizza voice. So as i'm driving home i'm thinking about the price. I'm like its not adding up. So I call and get the manager and he's still rude, never said sorry. Basically told me it was not his fault his employee was probably new. I don't care if they are new, if they were trained right then there would have been no problem. I told the manager he was rude and he's like no i'm not i'm just telling you. I don't care what your telling me... you guys messed up and you were a jerk. I will never EVER go to this place again. Much better pizza places out there with much...

We recently moved to the area and have been looking for a great pizza place. Well, we found it! We really enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and the service was outstanding. There are many options in addition to pizza, including several dessert plates. There is also a buffet. We didn't try it, but a lot of options, well replenished, and looked really good. Also appreciate the contemporary Christian worship music they play. Clean and a good atmosphere. Excellent restaurant, and highly recommended!

The service is great and makes you feel like your at a small family restraunt. The food was good, not spectacular but good. If I had to rate the pizzas id prob go a 5/10. There was six pizzas, one cheese stick pizza, pastas, and garlic bread on the buffet. You can supposedly request a pizza which I really wanted to have a spicy jalapeno pizza but I just stuck to the original pepp and sausage. The buffet was only $10 a person which was quite mind blowing especially for a buffet. Definetly will be back and recommend it.
