You remember Shakey's Pizza? This place gives off very similar vibes in terms of business style, an arcade for kids, private rooms for parties, and a buffet. I haven't been to a buffet in a long time, and I gotta say that style of restaurant needs to comeback! The prices are very fair too! $13 for dinner, $11 for lunch, compared to Old Country Buffet (close to $16) and if you remember Ponderosa, and idk how much Golden Corral costs but that's a good deal from Pizza Ranch for a buffet!
While my visit was very good, in fact, the food was excellent except for 1 thing, the 1 pizza I always liked? Pepperoni, and unfortunately it wasn't very good, and I am NOT a picky eater when it comes to Pizza places! There are very few pizza places I legit dislike (Pizza Hut, Toppers, and a local place), but Pizza Ranch's pepperoni, Idk if it was the sauce or the pepperoni itself, but they can do WAY better than what they had!
That being said, everything else was topnotch! The other pizzas were delicious! Including a Garlic Cheese pizza! Cheesy Breadsticks and loads of unorthodox toppings for all you bizarre food eaters out there! And if you don't want Pizza, they have delicious fried chicken, stuffing, potatoes and gravy, fish, potato wedges and garlic buffalo chips, something for everyone! If it weren't so far out of the way, I would definitely visit more often, but they gotta work on the pepperoni though! I'd give it 5 stars if they can do that!
Edit: I FINALLY WENT BACK! 4 YEARS AND COVID LATER MY MOM AND I FINALLY HAD TIME AND MADE IT BACK! And guess what!? You guys fixed the Pepperoni! It was VERY good! Breadsticks were delicious and that fried chicken I don't remember it having a hot kick to it! I am stuffed! You guys have earned your 5th...
Read moreUpon arrival because I used to work at pizza ranch I knew you could order a pizza or wings with the buffet . The cashier (Renee) was being very rude and told me “ I had to pay for that “ which I knew wasn’t true because I used to work there . Renee was also in a rush to make me pay when I was asking questions. I then stated she was being rude and which she laughed about . So then I asked is there a manager I can speak to ? Renee then replied “ no there’s only me and 2 Mexicans “ which I figured was a lie but I did mention to Renee how rude she was being . We then got seated the service was great and food was good . Later on I seen a manager named Jess I believe and the playroom manager. They were a big help in resolving my issues and told me that this situation shouldn’t have happened. Jess reassured me and told me to make sure to leave a review but after talking with her and the other manager about what had happened I felt satisfied. Also if Renee does so happen to read this . Working in food service can be stressful but that does not mean take your frustrations out on others . If you are not a people’s person I suggest you find a different job that better...
Read morePizza Ranch was our go-to place for years, but we hesitate going there anymore. We are a group of senior citizens (ages 65 - 96), and we always got a room there, but since we didn't have at least 15 people, we were told that we couldn't get a room that day (6/18/2024). We were told that there are tables in the back that seat 10 people, so we sat at one of those tables.... but never again! First of all, the music was blaring, so we couldn't even talk to each other, unless we yelled. Second, the tables were so close to each other, and with people sitting at the table behind us, that meant that with the chairs pulled out for seating, the people at our table couldn't even get out to get more food, unless the others seated near them stood up to push their chairs in. This is definitely a fire hazard, and we wouldn't feel safe there anymore. A couple of us got sick from eating the salad/dressing. The only thing good about that day was our wonderful waitress. I was embarrassed, because it was my turn to host our group and choose the restaurant. I'm sorry to say that, for now, Pizza Ranch is taken out of our...
