Big Apple Bagels — Restaurant in Ashwaubenon

Our experience here left MUCH to be desired. When we ordered the cashier seemed to have zero idea what she was doing, and if she was new, okay, but someone needed to be helping her with the customers. We had to explain exactly what we wanted multiple times, we had to ask and double check again and again to make sure we were getting everything. The order wasn’t even complicated. We had to remind her that we wanted a dozen bagels 4 times and she still kept just standing there doing nothing until the more experienced girl turned to us and asked “are you still getting 1 dozen bagels?” And thats just the service. Our food is a whole different story. We ordered our sandwiches to be horrified that the eggs AND meat were being microwaved right in front of you, there was cross contamination left and right. My husband bit into his bagel (a breakfast sandwich on a cheese bagel) only to get a mouth full of chocolate, which we assume was from the bagel sitting next to ours in the makeshift bagel microwaving line up. Very disappointing experience. Stopped here Sunday morning to pick up bagels and sandwiches. Thought if early could get the fancier bagels and my favorites because not picked over yet. The majority of bagels were “not done cooking yet.” Had a choice of 5 bagels, I.e. blueberry, plain, strawberry, Jalapeño and whole wheat. The person behind the counter was anything but enthusiastic about being at work, worst customer service I’ve experienced in years, couldn’t say “hi,” couldn’t smile. She looked like she rolled out of bed 10 minutes before the store opened, possibly why the bagels were not yet cooked when the store opened. Save your $ and go to McDonald’s or something. The ratio with bagel, egg, sausage was a joke! I order the “gourmet” southern bagel and all it had was 100% bagel, 20% cheese, 30% egg and 1% turkey sausage.

They were trying to be efficient but some were taking orders over the muffin case and the other gal at the register was also taking orders (there’s only one register). There were people behind either waiting to pay or just waiting for someone to help them....
