We got to Crumbl, where I walked in to place my order. They do have the self service kiosks however, I was paying in cash. So I walked up to the counter where I was not greeted whatsoever. The cashier just stared at me. I began giving him my order. Once finished, he said nothing. So I said, āthatās allā. He typed away at the screen and flipped the monitor over. I thought for a second it was to pay with a card, where I then asked if I could pay cash. He replied ācash is fineā and looked down at the monitor that was flipped towards me. So Iām checking the screen for a total, where I find it really small in the corner. What was across the whole middle of the screen? Yep, you guessed it. A prompt asking me how much I wanted to tip! I immediately hit no tip and handed him my cash. He counted my cash for what seemed like forever, handed me back my change and walked away!
Now donāt get me wrong, even cashiering at the store, I never expected a tip for doing that, but we had some customers who would from time to time and itās a really nice surprise. I wouldnāt have necessarily been opposed to throwing him a couple dollars but for what? He couldnāt even muster out a hello.
The icing on the cake was when we were standing there, waiting for our orderā¦John says to me āso you must be ālady?ā I look up, and sure enough, amongst other names on the board for pick up, it says lady. Well, we stand there a few more minutes and here comes another worker āorder for LADYā š¤¦š»āāļø The kid couldnāt even ask my name for the order?
Everything about the cashier I had screamed āIām here to do the bare minimum and collect a paycheckā. Well young man, you definitely made it very easy for me to hit that no tip button and not feel the least bit guilty!
Aside from that, the Macadamia Nut cookie was quite hard and crunchy today. Maybe thatās how itās supposed to be, but Iāve never had a Crumbl cookie this hard. All...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMallow Sandwich ft. OREO: Crumbl's official description for this cookie is " A fluffy, creamy center with brownie pieces sandwiched between two chocolate cookies made with OREOĀ® cookie pieces." As soon as the Crumbl employee showed me my cookie and handed me the box I was immediately in awe. The cookie was absolutely massive and once the box was in my hands I realized it was also heavy. Any doubts I had about if this was worth $5 quickly evaporated. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate and while I wouldn't describe the cookies as milk chocolate, they're not overly bitter. They're also not as soft as some of the other cookies I've had from Crumbl, but that could in part be from the chilled factor. Definitely not crunchy, but still come with a pleasant chewiness. Sandwiched between the cookies is the plentiful, cool & creamy marshmallow flavored filling. It's not quite as good as their signature cream cheese frosting, but it is still delicious. Helping the frosting is the fact that it contains numerous fudgie brownie pieces. It seemed to me that the brownie pieces were closer to milk chocolate in flavor. Taken as a whole, I get more of a marshmallow brownie vibe for the flavor than OREO. Visually it obviously looks like an oversized OREO or even a Whoopie Pie. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband order a dozen mini cookies today totaling over $32 and the quality was poor. They looked terrible and really didnāt taste much better.
He orders the cookies ~2 hours before the pickup at 5pm and when I got there just after 5 I had to wait until 5:44 to leave with the cookies.
Apparently all the Dubai chocolate brownie had been sold out, even though we had already purchased them hours before. Why would they have sold out all the cookies if they knew there were orders to fill? There were a lot of people waiting before I arrive and after I left with orders of that item and no one was communicating anything unless they asked one of the staff members. Whatās the point of ordering ahead if Iām going to have to wait 40 minutes anyways for what turned out to be poor quality cookies. Attached is an imagine of them and there was boating on the sides and bottom of the box which of course got on my clothes.
One of the staff members was asking another what they should do because of the issues with the Dubai and she said to her I guess they will just have to look sloppy.
I would expect better tasting and looking cookies than I got today. Iāve had them before and theyāve been good but the quality has really dropped off and I donāt know with the experience I had today if Iāll be back and not likely to...
