I'm so glad I stopped by The Pizza Spot for my evening meal. This no-frills shop serves up some of the best pizza by the slice I've ever had. The crust was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crunch and chew. The sauce was rich and tangy, the cheese was melted to perfection and they add a special touch of hand picked basil on top.
I tried one of each pie that had just been put out; the classic cheese slice, the spicy pepperoni and my favorite veggie pizza. The service was fast, the prices were affordable and the good vibe smiles from Chris Livasy were free!
The shop has a fun, casual vibe, with a few tables for eating in, a counter top seating area and the outside food cart benches. It's the perfect spot for a quick lunch, a snack on the go, or a late-night slice after a night out.
Located on the corner of 11th street and Duane across the street from the Astoria City Hall building. (Inside the food cart pod)
Price: $3-$5 per/slice
Recommended: Veggie pizza slice
Will I return? As much as possible!

Read more"Two, two, gimme two." It ain't Lenny's but ya should slip on your loafers anyway and sway on over to the Spot, The Pizza Spot. Indeed this pie satiates a craving you might very well have forgotten about or not even knew ya had. Ya devour the slice with zero inclination to wax poetic about what the farmers name was who grew the grain that made the flour, or how regional the tomatoes are that get blitzed into a sauce which slathers these healthy sized pieces of gloriousness. This pie makes me feel young, and hopeful, like one day we will have world peace⦠Hey, it is great on the pocket book and it is what it is intended to be, genuine. So if ya ain't got nut'n good to say don't say anything at all, or better yet, stick a slice of pie in it. With...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of the worst pizzas that I have ever tried in my life I got two slices. Costco pizza Is 10 times better than this place. Matter-of-fact Costco pizza would be cheaper too. I canāt believe this place is still open. Cardboard crust, cheese that doesnāt melt, and pizza sauce that tastes like Chef Boyardee. Iām almost positive. This guy is selling frozen pizza from the grocery store as āfresh pizzaā. Frozen aisle pizza would actually be better tasting. Just terrible, and expensive. DO NOT TRY IT. Also, the bathrooms are super weird. Itās like an old office building and itās still smells like mildew in there. Not something you would expect from a restaurant. Would rate a zero out of...
