Cutters Pub — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

I changed this review after I went during the 2018 UGA-Auburn Game. Although it would have been awesome to stick around and watch the game with that humongous crowd, I left because I stood directly in front of a bartender (made eye contact with him and everything) for, like, 20 minutes. Other bartenders there recognized me as a regular but didn't say a word and at times even just stood around talking after making eye contact with me. Then, some chick, who already drank a few, came back and, right next to me, ordered an extra three drinks. The bartender knew what he was doing. I was super pissed. I realized a few hours later the bar must only serve people wearing UGA regalia during games, as both the bartenders and anybody actually getting their attention wore UGA regalia, but I was wearing a collared shirt with the Georgia G on it under my sweater since it was near-freezing when I went in. Also, I was stone-cold sober at the time and didn't notice any signs implying "Dawgs Only."

On a brighter note, they have a huge liquor selection (I get a Sazerac every time I've gone there because they actually have Absinthe...multiple brands of Absinthe). Also fun for pool, darts, and...

On New Year's Eve, we went to this bar and were charged twice for one beer. The next day, we asked the staff to check the charges, but the manager was unavailable and told us to return later. When we came back, the manager again said he couldn’t help without the financial officer, who was also absent. We provided our bank account and phone number but received no updates after two weeks. After another visit, we were once again told to return another day. Now a month has passed, and we've heard nothing. I find this process unfair and would advise against visiting this bar.
