Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Athens

I want to start by saying, we did not want to come here because we know how the service is here, but my son loves the place. Anyway, service was slow and appetizers came with entrees and the servers did not seem to understand why that was a problem. We asked that our sons food be delivered as soon as it was ready and it had obviously been under a heat lamp for sometime. Then the manager comes to see what he could do for us. It was obvious he expected us to request items to be comped, but we work and pay for our things especially a lunch out. I would rather you better manage your establishment, but we agreed to a free sundae for my son, which he has had many times here. So, when the sundae came out it was not the sundae he would typically get just some ice cream with some Hershey 's chocolate syrup on top...ridiculous. To make matters wose our waitress was even less attentive after the manager came out as if to punish us even further for their mistakes. There was even an eight top and a three top that were sat after us that still had their food, checks and were paid out and on their way before us! I worked as a waiter and bartender while attending Ohio University and I know food service, so I am very understanding and forgiving when out for meals but today pushed me to my limits. It was the first time I considered totally stiffing a server, and we will give you 15 percent if you are bad, again because I have done the job. This review is based on my visit on 10/10/16. I ordered an order of boneless hot wings to go and the lady told me it would be about 10 minutes and she would bring them out to my car when done. I patiently waited 10, 15, 20, then after 25 minutes I went in to see what was going on and I stood there waiting for another 3 minutes so I walked back out to my car, called the store and a different lady answered. I asked if the wings were done and she very rudely said yes and that she did not know she was supposed to bring the food to my car then she just hung up.... she then stormed out to my car and shoved the food in my window, not hand it to me she shoved it in my lap without saying a word besides "9.99". And mind you, it takes a lot for me to get upset so I handed the food back to her and told her I would eat elsewhere. At that point she gave me a dirty look and stormed back inside. I have never had someone be so disrepectful at this applebees before, I have eaten here at least once a month with my family. I will never go back to this applebees. Her name is Brittany.
