I've ordered both take out and delivery. Take out has always been ready on time and the staff are polite and fast. Delivery has also been punctual each time. I've ordered several pizzas. Crust: Regular is similar to a Buffalo crust, between thin and pan. Thin is not NY thin, nor is it cracker thin, it's like the crust at a place like California Pizza Kitchen. Both crusts taste the same and are good but don't stand out. Sauce: I've tried two sauces. The Family Recipe is fine, pretty well-balanced if not a bit sweet. The Neapolitan is much more flavorful and tastes perfectly balanced. Cheese: The cheese is basic low-moisture mozzarella. Toppings: I mainly order old world pepperoni or anchovies. The old world pepperoni is the type that turns into little cups of grease when cooked, it is known as cup and char in Buffalo and quite popular there. The anchovies are the typical oily guys from a can. It's very likely that they do not blot them with paper towels before applying to the pizza. The anchovies are also irregularly placed on the pie. I have ordered the pepperoni feast, and while it is very good, I don't think it's a good value because it costs much more than a one-topping pie but it ends up with about the same mass of pepperoni as a one-topping with pepperoni. There's three kinds of pepperoni on the Feast, but that's not worth several dollars. What really sets apart Plus One are the crust toppers and drizzles. They're just additions to the crust and pie, but they can really improve the taste, and they're included in price, so experiment.
I've ordered wings once. If you can't tell, I'm from Buffalo. The chicken is pretty good, I've had better, but I've had much worse. The wings they use would be an upgrade at many Buffalo pizzerias. That being said, I ordered hot sauce on these wings and it was pathetic. I would put it between a Buffalo medium and hot. I've also lived in New Mexico, and this hot sauce wouldn't even be spicy enough to put on an ice cream sundae. However, the sauce's flavor is authentic: a little sweet, almost too salty, and enough vinegar to make your nose tingle.
Overall, this is a solid pizza and wing joint. They are my go-to for such in Athens, and I serve it to...

I needed to get something to eat today during break and it needed to be quick and within walking distance. I have never had Plus1's food before but I noticed they were close and decided to order from them.
They have a simple, easy to navigate website that allowed me to set a delivery time and make a custom Stromboli. I ordered lots of toppings, asked it to be well done and ggot a drink. I payed less than $10. It seemed pretty reasonable to me.
So during my break I trotted over and picked up my Stromboli. They had great, friendly service and asked for any feedback to help improve their website and make their service better. They're family owned and I had a great time talking with them a few minutes. My Stromboli was done the moment I had walked in.
I was pleasantly surprised to see it was rather large and even more surprised (and delighted) to find it wasn't mostly bread, but chock-full of meat and cheese. Exactly as I ordered.
I went back to my workplace and began to enjoy this delicious Stromboli. The meat was well done. I would have liked crispier bacon and softer meatballs, but in a way they textured the stromboli in a delightful manner. Their sauce is delicious, it's cold and tastes fantastic in contrast to the piping hot stromboli.
My Pepsi was good too ;P
My only complaints? I wish I had a bag, and napkins would have been nice.
Plus 1 Pizza, I have been blown away. Consider yourself to have earned a loyal customer!

Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was. Is it the best pizza I’ve ever eaten though? No. The quality of the pizza gets this place a 4, but what really earned its five was its very well designed app and online ordering structure. As a vegetarian who often likes to remove and add things from pizza orders I often find that many specialty pizza shops have that one “veggie pizza” option and it usually has everything i like except maybe one or two things. Other places and apps like Grubhub, are designed so that you cannot substitute a veggie topping for another of basically equal value after removing one without incurring an extra charge for the addition which I always found frustrating and backed customers against a wall if you are really hungry, almost blackmail-ly, like “hey you want your food, gotta pay the extra charge that makes no sense”. I’m glad to see a company either recognized the logic in them being equivalent and a charge was unnecessary or saw that the design of that substitution feature was flawed and fixed it. And also the number of options for customization was really cool overall....
