I went in today for lunch. The kid who made my burrito bowl seems pretty young, but made my food for me as polite and courteous as I could ever ask for. I have never worked in the food industry, mind you, but here's my 2-cents.
I honestly want to bring a food scale and measure the ingredients and write them down. I asked for chicken and it was a pretty small amount, which normally I wouldn't complain about, but when its less than a McChicken patty's worth of meat I tend to get a bit irked... but I let it pass. Rice was also lightly handled. I passed on the queso. Now as for toppings, I said give me a bit of everything but the Guac and the kid gave me quite a bit of cheese, so-so lettuce, etc... it was when labels were needed that had me concerned. You POUR the stuff like salsa, sour cream, etc... you don't rest the ladel onto the burrito bowl and and drag it across the top of the food mountain and put it back in the container. This is how you cross contaminate bits of cheese in the sour cream or salsa, or bits of chicken in other containers like the corn or beans. Some Vegans/Vegetarians might not like this, or people with allergies.
I drove back to work, 2 minutes away and everything was ice cold as well and I felt the bottom of the bowl to double check. Meat, rice, beans, toppings.. the sour cream was absolutely ice cold.
So I got less meat, which was cold, less of everything else but shredded cheese was heavy... My food was crap. It's not the kid who served me's fault, it's not the cooks hovering over a grill's fault... Your location consistently has sucked every time I've gone there, with another location nearby! TRAIN....

The third car sat there for 10 minutes while they waited for there mobile order to be made while 8 cars got in line behind me. MAKE THEM PULL AROUND IF THEIR ORDER ISNāT READY YET SO OTHER PEOPLESā FOOD ISNāT GETTING COLD WHILE WE ARE JUST SITTING IN LINE FOR SOMEONE WHO COULDāVE PULLED AROUND.
I finally got up to the window and the worker didnāt even acknowledge me for a couple more minutes while he was making more orders. Asked me for my name, I told him, and then I got my food and left. My food was sitting there for 10+ minutes getting cold while I waited in line for someone whose food wasnāt ready yet.
When I got it home and opened it, there was no extra rice like I put on my order, there was not even a full single portion of chicken, and it was dry because the queso was cold and again a very small portion. This location SUCKS! How are there two chipotle locations within 5 miles of each other and one (court street location) is consistently good while the other (east state location) is bad every time? I want a refund or a gift card or something, this is not even close to what I would get from the court...
Ā Ā Ā Read morerecently went to the new chipotle on east state street multiple times in one night to pick up orders. The employees were suffering, the store was filthy and filled with trash, i spoke to the only 3 employees working tonight until 4 am and they told me they all just started this job, that none of them have been trained to use the grill, and that their general manager ignored them when they called and texted asking for help.
They are brand new at this job, running the whole restaurant alone, using the grill which looks like itās about to catch on fire with all of the smoke and burning meat on it. There is no possible way food safety standards could he upheld under these conditions.
Every employee was visibly shaking from the stress, repeatedly burning themselves, unable to keep anything in the store clean, unable to keep up with the huge line of people coming in. These working conditions are inhumane and cruel on top of there being no way for it to be sanitary. I actively watched cross contamination from raw chicken to vegetables.
Is it even legal to allow someone to operate a grill in a restaurant with no training on how to use it? Everyone in there seemed concerned for the wellbeing of...
