This restaurant is amazing! My wife found the Avenue Kitchen & Cocktail on Google by searching for a place to eat after seeing a play. We made a reservation for 5:30 pm just in case. When we arrived they just opened at 5 pm, so the place was empty. It felt like we rented the place just for us, lol. There is plenty of parking, and valet available. I'm not sure of the price because we didn't need to utilize valet. Check their website or call for dress code.
The pictures I posted honestly don't do the place any justice. You have to go to see the beauty for yourself. The entire design, feel, and mood of the restaurant gives grown and sexy.
We met our server, Noel, who has previous experience in fine dining and we could tell. He was very attentive even after other guests started to arrive. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and told us some of his top picks, which we ordered. He advised us that it is mainly a restaurant throughout the week, but it turns into a lounge after 10 pm. Also, hookah is only served on the weekends after 10 pm as well. That's a good thing for those who just want to eat without being made to injest hookah smoke at the same time.
The crafted cocktails were exquisite and the cute little hearts in the Japanese whiskey sour was a beautiful little touch.
Our appetizers, Fried Chicken Wonton Dumplings and Crab Rangoon was so good. They were cooked to perfection. The cream cheese inside the crab rangoon was so creamy and not as stiff as normal cream cheese would be.
Our Spider Roll was good! The pieces were double the size of a normal sushi roll. So I could see someone ordering it a la carte with a side of fried rice. (Which was also mouth watering.)
The only downside was one of the entrees. My wife ordered the salmon. I do not recommend this dish to anyone who does not like spicy food. She enjoyed everything else up until this point. There should be a spice level indicator for this dish. No, it's not a sweet and spicy dish, just spicy. I on the other hand thoroughly enjoyed my scallop pasta. As you can see in the picture, the scallops were jumbo size and filling.
We finished with sharing some Tempura Ice Cream. It wasn't like regular fried ice cream. It was enclosed is fried dough, a layer of yellow cake, and the ice cream in the middle. Of course it was topped off with whipped cream and a cherry.
Overall from experience, to food, drinks, ambiance, and service, we both gave it a 10 out of 10 will recommend!
We'll definitely be back to the Avenue Kitchen & Cocktail restaurant to experience it during its...
Read moreI chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had dining out. A week prior, I visited to view the upstairs seating to accommodate my party of 20. I exchanged information with the valet, who assured me he would connect me with management. Management eventually reached out, we confirmed the party size of 20, and I was told our spot was on hold.
However, when we arrived, a woman at the front informed us that they had booked another party who had paid a $200 deposit. She said there was a “miscommunication,” even though I had already confirmed my reservation with their team. Once that other party arrived—and considering the restaurant’s theme—it became clear who they prioritized. It absolutely felt discriminatory.
The table they did seat us at received little to no service. To make matters worse, the bouncer, who was wearing a hat himself, came inside and began harassing my guests for wearing hats. Meanwhile, other patrons in the restaurant were wearing hats without issue. It wasn’t until someone from my party pointed this out that the harassment stopped.
This was my birthday, and the staff made it clear they did not care about that or about delivering any level of professionalism. The entire experience was unwelcoming, discriminatory, and deeply disappointing. As this being a new restaurant in Atlanta, I had hoped for better, but I will not be returning—and I’ll be sure to share this experience so that none of my friends or family waste their time...
Read moreSuper happy finding Avenue. Really hard finding good Asian food out here . Was leaving the Mercedes Benz Stadium and was craving Asian and decided to give this spot a try. Walked in and was greeted by Carmen and some of the other servers as well . Carmen ended up being our server. Very attentive, polite, and definitely made sure we had a good time. Btw this place is massiveeeee. Huge bar, lights everywhere and a DJ that happened to throw down that day. My GF and I and I were definitely underdressed lmao but they still accommodated us and the server started us right with some delicious craft cocktails. We ordered a delicious Pandan Martini and a green tea sour . Both were a 10/10 but the food is really where it’s at. The lamb lollipop was fire, meat was super tender and juicy. Roasted bone marrow was on point, it’s honestly my favorite thing to order anytime a place offers marrow. And last but not least the ocean pyramid, needless to say, it was superb! It was hard to share tbh. Lol. I’ll give this place 5 star for everything cause it was something different, new, service was on point and the experience had me wanting more while I was walking out the door. Will definitely be coming back and making this my new go to with my friends. Btw don’t forget to ask for the sake bombs!! You won’t...
