We've been here three times now and while the other two times were great experiences, today was absolutely unacceptable. We saw the sign to sit down and a server would come to us. We sat on the patio and after about 10 minutes of sitting there, we asked another customer if they had been helped. The busser who was cleaning a table heard us and said that usually there are QR codes to order from but they must have blown away so he'd send a server out to us. Another 5 minutes later a server arrived and took our drink order and we told her we'd get food after that. It took so long for our drinks to come out that the bar tender apologized when he dropped them off. For food, we ordered the queso, the beets, the Sunday dinner bowl, and the curry rice bowl. We were told that they were out of the beets which was also the case last week so either they are a popular item or they haven't gotten a shipment of them in over a week. Our server then came back to tell us that they had ran out of rice and if I wanted the curry bowl, I'd have to wait 15 additional minutes. This was pretty disappointing to hear since the rice is a major component in two out of three of the bowls they serve. Not wanting to wait, I opted for the mushroom Swiss burger. When the queso was finally dropped off, the chips were stale and the queso had a layer of solid cheese on top from either sitting so long or not being heated up enough. The ceramic bowl the queso was in was warm but the cheese was pretty much solid all the way through. We immediately set it aside and waited for our server to come back so she could take it away as we had no interest in eating cold cheese with stale chips. My partner's Sunday bowl was then dropped off and everything was lukewarm. The cornbread was at a temperature where we couldn't decide if it was supposed to be served cold but had been warmed up by being under the heat lamps or if it was supposed to be hot and had significantly cooled off. That was the final straw for us today. My partner went and found our server at the to-go counter and told her that the food had once again come out just above room temperature, and that we would like to get our check and have all food removed from our bill. We had such a great time on our last two trips here but this has us seriously considering if we will...
Read moreThe atmosphere is great. It has a great outdoor space/setup, plenty of seating.
Unfortunately, the service is some of the worst service I've ever experienced. It didn't matter which bar you went to, and if it was even busy or not. I was the 3rd person in line at the main bar. I was standing there for 25ish minutes until it was finally my turn. Then stood there for another 5 minutes before the bartender asked me for my order. It took another few minutes to actually get my DRAFT beer...
When I went to the other bar later, I walked right up to the bar. The bartender made direct eye contact with me immediately, then continued to take 5 minutes fixing a drink for someone else, while also pouring shots for him and a friend of his at the bar. Didn't even say one word to me. After another few minutes, he finally acknowledged my existence and asked me what I wanted, which was just a beer (can). It took him less than 10 seconds to reach in a fridge to get me the beer. All-in-all, it took almost 10 minutes just to get a beer, when there was literally one drink order in front of me, and he was already making it when I walked up...oh, everyone else in our group experienced the exact same things at both bars. My friend gave up waiting on the second bartender, so he chose not to spend any money here.
Fyi, for some reason this place automatically adds 20% gratuity to even single drink orders. I guess this is why the bartenders don't care to provide even good service. I literally went to the bar again, with my beer still half full because I knew it was gonna take a minimum of 10 minutes, which it did.
If you're cool with waiting for at least an hour or two (total time), depending on how long you stay here and how many drinks you want, instead of getting good quality time with your friends/fam/etc. then give this...
Read moreOverall, we had a good dining experience. We were there on a Saturday around noon, we were the only customer there. Food items are priced a bit high, but not unreasonably high. The pulled pork we had in one of our meal was pretty bland. We were not offered any sauce with it, but upon asking, we were provided with hot sauce and BBQ sauce. Chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce was average. Wish our server could be a bit more attentive and noticed when our drinks were low and offered refill automatically (especially considering we were the only table she was serving), so we didn't have to consistently reminded her that we need refills.
They automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill, which is stated on the right lower corner of the menu. However, when we asked for a check, we weren't provided a bill, and it was just the handheld device brought to us and showing us a total amount, and asking if we would like to add tips (not sure if they labeled as additional tips or just tips, as 20% had already been added). No bill breakdown was shown to us prior and at this this moment of time (something that should be improved!). As our server was standing next to us and waiting on us to to finish the transaction on the handheld device, it gave us a bit of the time pressure to go through the details on the screen. This was definitely not a good experience. They could consider offering self-mobile pay like many restaurants have now adopted to scan a QR stick on the table, then it links to your bill and you can see the bill detail and pay online with your credit card.
Wishing to return next time during a time when they have some activities going on and try out different...
