I was delivering for Uber Eats this New Year's Eve and received an order from this restaurant. I arrived and after waiting 15 minutes, accepted a second order from the same restaurant. After waiting another 25 minutes, the second order was ready. I attempted to ask someone working in back if they had any record of the first order but the person walked past without even looking at me three times, even though it was clear he heard me. When I finally got the attention of a young woman, before I could complete a sentence, she yelled at me that there were only three of them and "I HAD TO WAIT!!!!". I tried to explain that the first, smaller order should have been out before the much larger, second one and ask if she could just tell me whether or not they had a record of it, but she continued to scream at me that "I had better just WAIT!". After ten more minutes I cancelled the first order because I had to deliver the second and couldn't wait anymore without some sort of update or even confirmation that they had a record of it. I have never encountered ANYONE in food service who was so completely nasty, rude and unhelpful. It was disgraceful. I worked in food service for years and understand what it's like to be in the weeds, but would have never dreamed of treating anyone in the manner I was treated. The wings were completely tossed around the 40 in the bookbag 35 came out the box and were just sitting in the plastic bag in sauce mixed up flavors. This young man was very hostile and advised me he made the order previously. I advised him I am a delivery driver, independent contractor, he said, I'm a Doordash employee and manager.
