I wouldn't go back to this location if it was the only Checkers open on Earth. The poor customer service I received was beyond disgusting. After waiting in the drive-thru line for 30 minutes and in front of the menu to order for 10 waiting for someone to respond even with a "hold please, I'll be right with you" I got nothing so I pulled forward to the window only hear the order of the car behind me being taken. Once at window I explained what happened and politely ask if my order could be taken at the window. The young man calls the manager over who loudly yells through the window that she's the only cook and he's the only one taking orders and that I am holding up their line because the orders of everyone else behind me is up and ready to go.
I pull out of the line... I go to window, give my order to the same young man who was at the drive-thru window. As I gave my rather large order the young man stared at me blankly and didn't input anything in the computer as I told it to him, I asked him to repeat the order back and everything was incorrect. I repeated the order again and asked if he had gotten it to which he replied he did. My spirit told me everything would still be incorrect. Lo and behold upon receiving and checking my order EVERYTHING was wrong. The manager comes to window and wants to argue about her making the order personally and she can make what is on the ticket and that once again I am holding up her line. I didn't have the energy to argue as I was tired from there over an hour and my friends waiting in the car were famished and ready to go.
I normally do not write reviews on fast food restaurants because it isn't worth my time but, I wanted to let the world know to avoid this location if at...

Unnecessary wait: One lane was unavailable, this was only an issue due to the length and sluggish place of the line. If I wanted to wait 20 minutes to be served I could have went into a restaurant at a bar and been served in that time. The dual lane system could have been utilized to speed up the overall experience but was ignored instead, and blocked off.
Late to no information: I made the decision to get 2 cups of water. The water wasn't free... Rather it was 1.00 a piece. Granted this wouldn't a problem but may have influenced my decision if informed at the speaker. I could have opted for a bottle or soft drink fort not much more. Yet I was told this at the window. To quote "Just so you know the owner charges 1.00 for a cup of water." After having ran my card.
Poor Quality: I'm from the Chattanooga area, Checkers back home is one of my favorite fast food spots. Being that we were on time to a venue I naturally talked up Checkers for speed/value vs other day food options based on my experience with my local Checkers prowess. After waiting nearly 20 minutes in the single line and getting it food we didn't even finish it. The food was unevenly cooked and and cold in spots plus it was unnecessarily greasy. (Granted I expected some grease and was contrasting to my Checkers back home.)
The worst part was I didn't have time to go somewhere else to get food afterward due to too little time remaining.
Sad day and poor choice. Hopefully you read this before you stop here...
Read moreI'm a Wendy's person, but occasionally I get a craving that only Checkers can satisfy. In the past, during those time it was quick service. But the last month they have had deplorable service. The credit card machine did not work one day. Another day it was around 2 p.m. and they were closed. A few days later credit card machine was still down.
A week later, I stopped to get a chilli dog and they gave me a burnt bun, with only chili and a weiner. I stopped and walked up to the window (they did apologize). I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to fix another one. Still missing key ingredients. I just thought the food preparer was new.
Tonight was the last straw. I stopped to get an apple pie and a small Cherry Coke. From the time I got to the drive thru, placed my order, and handed the cashier my money it had been 25 minutes!!! There was 2/$1 special and I only had one pie in my bag. So I had to remind the cashier. I received the pies and they were not even room temperature!! At least zap them in the microwave and try to fool me.
Lastly. The cashier was about 20 years younger than me. Calling me baby. "Here's your straw baby. Have a good evening baby." We're in the South, but have some type of decorum and professionalism. I've tried to stick with them, but I can't. I reside about 3 miles away and it will be a cold day in hell before I waste my time here again. I've rated them at the...
