Some things you should know. First of all, these are some of the best tacos we have ever had, and we eat a lot of tacos. The corn tortillas are pressed right in front of your eyes, but there is a flower tortilla option also. Your tacos are made to order are filled with delicious protein (or mushrooms) and respective toppings.

There are a few different styles of tacos you can choose, we went with two of the staff favorites and a classic street taco to which you can add steak, pork, chicken, or mushrooms. At this point I have had some of everything, including the fish taco and mushroom filling, and just can't decide which is my favorite though I'm leaning al pastor.

There are sides, though admittedly have only tried the elote. And tacos are served with a trio salsas for the table - one of which my husband declared to be 🔥 so I didn't try it.

For the time being you can dine in or pick up food to go, though the staff promises delivery in the coming weeks. For drinks, there are classic Mexican sodas and water. Adult beverages will be available as soon as the restaurant receives its liquor license.

We have the great fortune of being able to walk here. If you drive, there is ample, free parking in a covered deck or open lot, and a constant roaming security team to ensure the safety of your vehicle.

We can't wait for this full venue to open, which will include a bottle shop, brewery (which is open now), pickleball courts (also up and running), a fun schedule of entertainment including live music and comedy shows, and a few other restaurants.

My advice, get here. You won't be...

Lunchtime hour on Friday, not a lot of people. Decided to check this spot out since the pictures of food looks great. 3 steak tacos, a cold Modelo($5) and mineral water($3.50) for the Hotlanta heat all equalled to about $30! Then again, anything around in Atlanta is pricey but it was hard to justify the price. The people there are kind at least from my experience on a not-so-busy hour.

Anyway, to the point of this, the tacos! They're small! 😂 I'm assuming about $6.50 dollars for the steak ones? My receipt says $3 for steak but it doesn't add up? 🤔 If you're someone who eats a lot, 3 tacos won't be enough to fill you up. One great thing about these tacos is the flavor. Really tasty steak and the tortilla seems to be handmade, almost nostalgic to the one's in Mexico. Delicious for sure!

Worth coming here for them? Hard to say but they are pretty good. It's up to you and your budget. Even without the beer, it's about $25. 😵‍💫

But hey! Once in a while I suppose. I did end up ordering 2 pork tacos. Delicious! Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Eh.

Again, the tacos are quite spot on and if you have the spare change they're worth trying out but just be warned about the price for the small portions.

Atmosphere is pretty chill and cool.

Go to Chamblee, Doraville, Lilburn, or Duluth for bigger and cheaper* tacos for your...

At first, we were raving all the time about El Santo Gallo to friends, as the food is amazing. We love the outdoor space, and it's perfect for families with kids. Our little one brings his scooter, and we love that you can grab a beer from Elsewhere.

But the service has always been poor. We have tried to look past it and hoped it was because they had just opened. But now we have gone many times, and truly every time, we have had a disappointing experience with the service. One time, we realized they had just given us reused, nearly empty salsa with the same spoons from the table before us. When we asked about it, they were unhelpful and unapologetic. This past time, a cook was sitting at the register and wouldn't even look up from his phone to help us. We had to wait until the other employee came to help a little while later. They are often out of options. Last time, they were out of guacamole and fish. This of course can be understandable, but they tend to have a demeanor of simply not caring.

I rarely leave reviews, but the reason I'm leaving this one is that I am so hopeful that service will improve, so that we can again recommend this to others and go often! We do love the food and it's a restaurant we want...

I recently experienced the authentic flavors of Mexico City at El Santo Gallo, a hidden gem of a taco restaurant. The vibrant vibes and decor transported me to the heart of Mexico, creating a welcoming atmosphere enhanced by the friendly staff. My girlfriend and I embarked on a culinary adventure, sampling nearly every taco on the menu. Each bite was a revelation of taste and texture— from the classic street taco to the savory mulita, the tantalizing costra stood out as the pinnacle of perfection. The meat, impeccably seasoned and tender, showcased a meticulous attention to detail that left no flavor unexplored. El Santo Gallo didn't miss a beat, delivering an impeccable dining experience that has easily secured its place as my new favorite restaurant. I'm already eagerly anticipating my next visit to savor the outstanding flavors and relive the unforgettable moments of a culinary journey well-spent.

If you’ve visited Mexico city, this place is very similar to Orinoco. Cdmx style tacos, vibes, decoration, and cervezas. Tacos de pastor were great and they often have live music. Chulada!

Was craving tacos in Christmas eve and decided to give this place a try for the first time. We ordered 2 pollo, 1 pork, 1 steak, and 1 baja tacos and also one pollo costra (flour tortilla with crispy cheese). My husband took a bite of the steak and immediately said “this is the best taco I’ve had in ATL. The tortillas are handmade and none of the meat was dry. The baja taco was made with cod fish and it was fried perfectly. The piece of fish used was a little small but delicious. Seriously, everything tasted incredible. My least favorite was the costra but it was still very good. The customer service was friendly and helpful with answering questions. The prices aren’t listed but they let us know it’s because they just opened and still getting things ready. It’s very clean inside the restaurant and we played Mortal Kombat on their multicade while we waited. We will DEFINITELY be back!
