Typically for horrible customer service I will give zero stars but I’ll be honest with my partners first impression of trying baked baby. He absolutely loved it! Back to our experience. There were two women working this day one was a little younger than the person that actually makes the food with the dreads. The young lady working the register was extremely nice and pleasant the real reason why we even decided to eat here in the first place. However the person that took our order was actually the chef who makes the food with dreads. She was extremely nasty and rude we almost left honestly. I’m not sure where in Atlanta where it’s ok to say someone is flexing. She called my partner a (flexitarian) because he asked for an egg. He clearly stated he’s vegetarian NOT vegan. It also took her forever to make the food because most of the options we requested were vegan. Her sense of humor was very offensive and inappropriate. We definitely wanted to patron black owed business but I can honestly say this will be my last time eating here. He still wants it though lol Again food is great! Attitude not so much and it was worth the wait. I suggest never let the chef take orders or interact...
Read moreFood is decent but the customer service is terrible. We shouldn’t have ordered from the beginning. It was our first time at The Works and first time trying “It’s Baked Baby.” We approached the counter and asked the cashier for her recommendation. The cashier happened to be the owner and she responded: “They are all my favorite. I own the place.” Alright… Well we ended up choosing a baked potato without any help of the cashier. We payed and were told that the food would take about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, we returned to the counter and they said it wasn’t ready. No problem… We were patient and came back approximately 10 minutes later we returned and were accused of stealing our own food that WE PAYED FOR. The owner had the audacity to say that she was going to check the cameras to make sure we didn’t already take the food. She ended up giving us our food but not the food we originally ordered. We understand that places are understaffed and it’s a Friday but we don’t deserve to be treated as criminals. This situation could have been handled better especially...
