Grub Truck — Restaurant in Atlanta

I'm truly disappointed about my experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I went there today around 7pm and ordered approximately $50 worth of food. We were given an order number on our receipt as well as a pager to let us know when our food would be ready, however, this was pointless because neither of these systems were utilized to ensure we got our order. Long story short, they gave our food to someone else (unbeknownst to us) who walked away with our order for several minutes. When the customer who mistakenly got our order returned, the staff attempted to give the food directly to us. I informed the staff that we did not feel comfortable accepting this food because someone else had it in their possession for several minutes. The staff member rudely took the food back to the rest of the restaurant staff and they consulted for several minutes. With attitudes, they reluctantly started to work on a new food order for us. BUT FIRST, they decided to eat our food order in their open kitchen while cooking and preparing our order as well as the orders of others. When we finally got our food, after approximately 30 minutes, the staff continued to be rude and shrugged us off when we asked for forks. To say that this was an upsetting experience is an understatement. It is unsanitary, especially amid COVID and Monkeypox to try to give food that was taken away from the counter for an extended amount of time to other guests. I would hope that the restaurant owner was not present when this happened because that would indicate low pride of ownership, poor food hygiene, and subpar customer service to say the least. We catered from them for a food truck in May 2024 and we did not have a good truck. They brought catered pans. We did not have enough food to serve our full 70 that we paid for, especially with the sides. The fries stretched for maybe 25 people and the salad didn't last either. We did not have enough of the main entrees either which led to high dissatisfaction as we could not feed the kids and parents the way we intended. We set a standard with them and let them know about the catering pans, but we feel like we did not serve them properly based on the amount we paid. We understand pivots had to be made with the other food truck out of commission but we do not feel that the service matched and compensated for over $1000 paid in food. We were not intending to serve the students food (as we had other require supervision duties) and we didn't have enough assistance for that. We set the expectation with the company and organization that this was an event with made to order food and 10 burgers, 2 small pans of fries, 1 pan of catfish nuggets, 3 pans of tenders and 3 pans of salad (we were only supposed to have enough salad for 20) was not acceptable. We appreciate them giving the drinks but we already paid for those separately in our budget, so that did not assist with the issue of lack there of food. This was my first time trying the food from Grub Truck Stop. The smell coming from the kitchen was enticing and they had quite the crowd around them so I thought it was worth a go. The service was good, and they were helpful with my order. While preparing my food, I noticed that the sauce was not in-house made. She dipped the wings in Sweet Baby Rays Hot sauce which is completely store bought! I was thinking I was going to get a curated meal that specializes in quick fast bites that are savory. However, they use store bought sauce…which completely takes away from the ingenuity of the restaurant. When I got my food, I opened up the container to reveal the tiniest chicken wing! I’m not sure who that chicken is supposed to feed, but it cannot be a human! All of the chicken was so small! I couldn’t believe it… then the fries had a horrible “frozen” taste.
