A clean park and my dog likes it here. Overall, we’ve had positive experiences and have enjoyed our times here. The reason why I am providing 3 stars, instead of 5, is due to their unnecessarily and aggressively scrutinizing “woof warden”. Not sure of her name but she’s a younger individual with short blond ish hair and tattoos. Tonight during our visit, my dog was drinking water from one of their bowls and pawing in the water bowl, as she has done every time we visit (not splashing water on patrons or other dogs at all). We have never once heard of or have been made aware of the “rule” that this is not allowed (she regularly does this at the O4W location and at the Works, with the other “woof wardens” laughing, smiling and cracking jokes about it, so we thought it was fine). Well tonight, the woof warden I mentioned above thought it was a wise choice to yell and clap aggressively in my dogs face, in a successful effort to scare my dog away from drinking water. This was after the woof warden screamed at my dog from across the park for again, being at the water bowl because she was simply thirsty. My dog then went to another water bowl because she was now afraid of this individual, and the woof warden followed my dog to that bowl. My dog, clearly scared of this person, walked away and stared at the bowl, to which the woof warden answered with by making weird dance looking movements in front of the bowl, like a taunt, which scared my dog off even more. I then went to the water spout/spicket to turn it on for my dog so that she could hydrate without unnecessary harassment from this individual; which the woof warden did not like and openly expressed such. I found this particularly funny for two reasons: I went to the water spout to avoid further confrontation from her about my dog drinking from the water bowls, and secondly, because when we were here just two nights ago, the same woof warden was 100% fine with dogs drinking from the spout/spicket. This woof warden in particular is clearly unhinged and should not be around dogs. It’s obvious that how she treats the animals is based on her mood of the day. Seriously poor staffing choice, and it makes what is otherwise a solid park,...
Read moreI’ll start by saying that my dog and I both love Fetch. We've been loyal customers since Old Forth Ward opened, and it is hands down one of my dog’s favorite places to be. The Works is my favorite location to bring her as it is both close and kept in good condition. All of this makes it even more difficult to be writing this review.
My negative review comes from the fact that despite being a loyal customer since inception of Fetch, we were turned away because my dog’s vaccines were expired in the system by just one week, and the vet's office was closed. I tired showing the appointments booked and administered. Didn’t have actual certificates. Even had the new rabbies tag hanging off her collar. I spoke to two employees before the manager, and both said they had made exceptions in similar situations before. The “curly hair” manager at first said I can visually inspect the dog and make an expectation but when I showed her emails confirmations of my dogs appointment and the dog. More convincing truth than my word. She proceeded to make a stance and say “No.” 1 hour before closing. I understand if this was new dog in the system and it was expired for over 6 months, but was just a week. This level of inflexibility and lack of consideration is very disappointing. “Biased judgement.” Don’t start of saying “I’m going to visual inspect the dog and then say “No.” Don’t give customers false pretense or train employees for hard stances. On the flip side, been here so many times where other dogs are coughing where it sounds like kennel cough. But they neglect to visually inspect sick dogs and “woof warden” turn the other way. No wonder this place is struggling – the management clearly doesn’t value their long-term customers. I only speak of the “the Works” location I hope they reconsider their approach to handling such situations...
Read moreI’ll start by saying that my dog and I both love Fetch at The Works. We have been coming to Fetch at The Works since it opened, and it is hands down one of my dog’s favorite places to be. The Works is my favorite location to bring him as it is both convenient and the employees at this location are wonderful (5 stars for them!). All of this makes it even more frustrating to be writing this review. My negative review comes from the fact that this location has suddenly and dramatically changed their hours. To make this change and give less than a week of notice to customers is crazy. To my knowledge, there has been no official message sent out via the app, email, or social media. In addition to that, there wasn’t even a sign with the new hours outside the park this morning (one was added this afternoon). I work across the street, and had to inform a few sad customers of the unfortunate change before the sign was added. I only knew about this change through word of mouth, which is very unprofessional in my opinion. Now I have paid for my dog’s membership for a service we cannot use as we intended. I have to tell my dog he cannot go play and he does not understand why. Overall, I am very disappointed with Fetch and would like to see them reconsider...
