Been almost a year and a half since visiting this restaurant. I ordered a half pound Reuben with a side of soup and a 1/4 Muffelleta with chips. The Reuben and soup were exceptable but the Muffelletta had a thin shaving of meat and not enough olive salad to even taste on the sandwich. Just recently visited New Orleans and bought this sandwich and what I got at Jason's Deli was a disgrace to that city. I paid $10 for toasted bread and they didn't even give me my chips. I would've taken it all back and threw it on the counter but it wasn't worth driving 15 mins or more with the Christmas traffic in the camp creek area. I brought back 2 quart jars of olive salad from my trip so I will be making my own sandwich the next time. I get things have changed since Covid but this was a total rip-off. They have lost my business for sure. If you have had the pleasure of enjoying the original Muffelletta from New Orleans don't purchase this from Jason's Deli.
Update: Been working in Lawrenceville until recently retiring and have been getting Jason Deli in that area which operates differently from the Camp Creek location. I decided to give the Camp Creek location another try. Big mistake!! Ordered a manager's pastrami rueben special w/salad which is the same order I get in Lawrenceville but of course my neighborhood location does things different. Sandwich I received was a plain pastrami not a reuben with a 1/4 less of meat and I asked for a extra large cup for salad dressing because they only gave me one small cup and I was told it would cost over $3.00 for additional cups but in Lawrenceville the sandwich is heartier and there is no charge for an additional cup. This store is so disappointing to visit so I will have to give up. Store owner is making profits the top priority and allowing customer service and satisfaction to fall by the waist side. I'm surprised more customers aren't complaining or maybe they don't know what this restaurant truly...
Read moreIt’s not a typical looking deli. There’s not a meat and cheese deli case nor a great looking bakery case. There was a couple pieces of cheesecake in the front case but they didn’t look good. Very disappointed that we waited by the dine in register and waited have our orders taken and not one of the 4 people behind the counter made eye contact or talked to us., finally another worker told us that we have to go to the take out/ pick up line to order inside to eat. My husband order a pastrami Reuben And asked for a side of coleslaw and was told they don’t carry it, asked what sides he can choose from and was told potato chips or fruit for extra charge. I ordered the salad bar. The Reuben per husband was good. The salad bar was fresh, clean and organized. I was not told we’re to get a salad plate for the salad bar assuming they were at the salad bar but they are not. They put a plate at the end of the counter and never informed me. I was never told that Ice cream was part of the salad bar and only know it is now because of reading other reviews and would have liked to have had some. The inside has a very large area with many tables. Only 5 tables ( including us) were filled and the place was dirty. Many tables dirty with dishes and garbage on them and garbage even on the floor. There were many workers at least 6- 8 that were working. Ridiculous that a deli doesn’t have coleslaw, potato Salad , pasta salad or macaroni salad as sides! And there’s potato salad and pasta salad in the salad bar that were very good. My husbands side of potato chips consisted of not deli quality small amount of chips. Also no pickles unless you get the salad bar ???? Oh well the food was good / everything else...
Read moreWell let's start with me being at the register ordering my food. The young man taking my order was very polite and had great customer service, but I was absolutely shocked when in the middle of taking my order a fellow employee comes up to him yelling something while hitting him in the back. Although it was a playful gesture I felt that it was very unprofessional & quite rude. As I made my way to the soda fountain I saw quite a few employees just playing & hanging around doing nothing (one actually was on the phone) meanwhile the floors & almost every table was dirty. When I got to the salad bar there were no plates or anything else to put salad on & the cucumbers were nearly rotten. I finally get to my seat where I found hair on the table and the floor was filthy. The only good thing was I did get my food fairly quick which tasted just ok by the way. I normally eat at the Jason's Deli near my job on Lavista Rd and this one couldn't compare at all. I honestly would have rather drove all the way there today from Jonesboro after coming here. Lastly normally on a Sat at the time I came in to eat the store on Lavista Rd would have been packed with patrons and I was shocked when I got here and didn't see that, but after my experience I understand why. I will never eat here again. The two stars I give are for the great customer service I received specifically from the young that took my order and second for my food being bought...
