The Tuftest Class In Town — Local services in Atlanta

I recently had the pleasure of attending The Tuftest Class in Town while visiting Atlanta. My husband was at a conference, so I decided to find something fun and creative to do on my own, and this class was perfect!

The studio space was fantastic—well set up and very inviting. Ducko and Jaime are excellent, patient, and fun teachers. They both are incredibly positive and encouraging which made the entire experience enjoyable. While the studio offers many great designs to choose from, one of the highlights of my experience was the ability to send in my personal studio's logo ahead of time. Ducko expertly transferred my logo onto the blank canvas, which was a special touch I truly appreciated.

The class allowed for a lot of personalization, including choosing your yarn colors, which made the project feel truly unique. The class lasted for three hours, which was just the right amount of time to get comfortable with the tufting gun and finish the rug.

Once the class is over, you leave your rug with them for the finishing touches. Since I live in Wisconsin, the guys shipped it to me quickly and cheaply too.

I am thrilled with the result! And my custom, handmade rug now hangs proudly in my studio.

Would have given it a 5 star due to a good initial date night experience BUT.........

Everyone has to leave their rugs there to be picked up the next day and unfortunately MY RUG IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND NOW meaning it was unintentionally given away, from an overwhelmed, disconnected, and easily distracted instructor OR it was stolen, due to an unorganized and chaotic environment. I know I made a really good rug but I also know it wasn't good enough to grow feet and walk away....

I was given the options of..... #1 taking one that was already there --- umm, absolutely not because I don't want someone else to come back for their rug and feel the way I felt after being told it was missing.

#2 coming back to redo it --- I don't have the capacity to dedicate another 3 hours to tufting. I have businesses to run and life to live.

#3 the instructor will redo it and mail it to me --- lets see how this goes and let's see how long this takes!....depending on that my review could change but until then, it's a 1...

I came to this class on October 5th and had an awesome time except the item and experience were ruined because I never received my rug. Because I was out of town I had to get my rug shipped which I paid an extra $12 for. The owner was very communicative stating the rug was sent out on the 17th and that was the last I heard from him despite reaching out several times. It is now Nov 3rd and I still don’t have it. I emailed, called and kept checking my tracking to see if things changed but have not. I really didn’t want to leave a bad review like this but I feel that I must after seeing someone else out of state had a similar experience. BEWARE IF YOU ARE NOT...
