This restaurant is SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!!
A Real Hidden Gem š
This isnāt your typical āMexican restaurant.ā You wonāt find tacos, burritos, tostadas, nachos, etc. here.
Their menu is very simple and straight to the point⦠and I love that! When it comes to meat, all they offer is their spectacular grilled chicken. Trust me when I say you have never had chicken like this in Atlanta. They offer 1/4 chicken solo or with a meal and you can get it in white or dark meat. The 1/2 chicken automatically comes with both white and dark meat. You cannot substitute that. They offer 4 sides, one soup, and one dessert!!
Iām from Miami, and I was looking for food that reminds me of home⦠but I got more than that, I got a meal that reminded me of my Momās home-cooked meals.
They have never disappointed me once. I usually go on Sunday afternoons, since they closed on Mondays, but recently Iāve been visiting them on Wednesdays or Fridays as well. Yep, my fat butt is eating here twice a week šš¤£ like I said it reminds me of my Mexican Momās food!
I always get a 1/4 dark chicken meal! It comes with rice and beans, two flower tortillas, two sauces, and pico de gallo!!!
The chips and guac are phenomenal!! You get thick chips, not the thin ones that break when you dip them into the guac!
The best part about this whole experience is the freaking churros!!! It is a must that you order them on your way out! The smell of them is enchanting! Itās also shareable for two people.
Oh, let me not forget⦠On Friday night they make a specialty alcoholic drink that changes every week that one of the staff makes from scratch herself! Itās truly worth the $9 for it and if youāre lucky you can get it on Sunday if any is left!
The staff is awesome! Very friendly and kind. They try to remember your name and order if you visit often which is amazing and makes you want to come back like the TV show Cheers⦠You can even catch the owner helping out with taking orders or putting orders together for in-store or to-go, which is rare.
I highly recommend dining in your first time. They give you your food on a tray and in a to-go container just in case you canāt finish it all. They have free lemon lime water that you can get yourself and all the utensils napkins and wet naps are right there in the front for you to grab. Please make sure that you clean up after yourself put all your trash in the trash cans and put the tray where the tray goes.
Oooooh one last thing......

I had been driving past this place for a while and noticed it always seemed packed, so I decided to give it a try. It did NOT disappoint. The venue is simple with limited variety, but what they do, they do exceptionally well. Four of us shared a bird, all the sides, and drinks for under $100! We haven't eaten out for less than $100 in years. The seasoning was fantastic, and everything was cooked perfectly. The corn and beans were a crowd favorite. The pico was the best and freshest I ever had.
I agree with the reviews that say things could use a little salt, but I'd rather have something under-salted than over-salted since I'm sensitive to it. I added a little salt to the leftover chicken and chips, and they were perfect. The rice was cooked perfectly, which is a hard thing to do.
A friend mentioned that this location has housed several restaurants before, but I hope this one stays. I want to tell everyone to go so it stays open forever, but at the same time, I don't want to create longer lines! It's one of those hidden gems that deserves more hype (don't tell Keith Lee).
Parking can be trickyāI hit a curb thinking it was the entrance. There's limited indoor seating, but the covered outdoor area was tolerable even on a 90-degree day. The booths were a bit tight for the four of us, so we didn't linger long.
Despite these minor issues, I plan on bringing all sorts of friends and family here to try it. Overall, if you're looking for a great meal at a fantastic value, this place is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām obsessed with this place and Iām not quite sure why. The chicken is good, but not the best that Iāve had. My favorites are the tortillas, beans, salsa, and aqua fresca. Every week I eagerly make the trek to get my meal. Itās always the same- the lunch special with a quarter dark meat, tortillas, rice and beans, salsa, guacamole and chips. I even pretend that the hibiscus aqua Fresca, although divine, does not have a full daily allowance of sugar in it. And those tortillas! I can hardly get out the door before I pull them out of the carry-out container. I would eat 10 a day if I could but my doctor would not be happy.
My meal always looks the same, no matter what time of day I go. Itās neatly packed in the same plastic carry-out counter, leaving me to marvel at the fact that my beans never leak out of the container. My condiments are always the same and always included. The food tastes the same, no matter what day of the week. And the same people are always serving me with the same consistent service. Perhaps my obsession is with the consistency. In this post-Covid world, what I crave most from a restaurant, but of which I get the least, is consistency. Great taste is a given but if I canāt count on the same good experience with each visit, great taste will not...
