Scam scam scam! Went here today on 12/30/23 . Customer service was poor. When we walked in, There was no greeter or signage. We sat ourselves. There were 2 other tables being served. Finally after about 20min we began to order our food. The lady waiter was nice. We ordered the jerk chicken philly. I find it odd We had to pay for the meal upfront before the cook even started cooking. Then the payment tablet asked if I wanted to tip. Now how am I going to tip without knowing what service I’m going to receive. Now If I put no tip, The food may come out wrong. So I tipped to be safe. That was scam #1. Scam #2 was the actual chicken Philly. It was definitely not as advertised. I was amazed of how drastically smaller it was from the advertisement I have pictures to prove. More bread than meat. Scam #3 during our meal, the waiter never came back to check on us and I believe that happened because she already received her payment and tip. Mind you there were only like 3 people at the bar who already was served. When we addressed the waiter she said sorry and that this is not the first time she had to get on management about false advertisement. I respect her honesty but the issue needs to be fixed , we then asked to speak to the manager. The male manager working at the time came to us and we showed him the comparison of the chicken Philly vs the advertisement . He then gave us a dry apology and offered us a coke. We then said we will rather have a cocktail instead, he said ok. We then waited for another 10min and left because he took too long. And we couldn’t find him at the bar anymore.. These are unacceptable acts for a restaurant Buisness. Especially in the heart of the city. ** on the positive note there was an older gentleman who assist us very nicely with parking. And even went the extra mile to come outside and guide us. I highly respect that.

Retro Grill Atlanta, where do I start, I guess I should start with how I came across this location, social media, this establishment came across my social media platforms on a few different occasions, and the food looked sooooo yummy, so I thought, let me take a ride there and give this food a try. Now I have to admit the food was A1, I ordered their famous Jerk Salmon philly, along with 5 whole wings with boss sauce. I also purchased a veeeerrry (Hercules) adult beverage, which the bar tender did an excellent job in preparing. Atmosphere was very dope, love the various artistic pictures on the wall and the music selection was quite nostalgic and pleasant, not ratchet. I took a point off due to service, and I would like to explain why, although my waiter was pretty awesome, they serve your food in to-go containers and your drinks in plastic cups. They charge a 20% up charge on items purchased, which drives the price up tremendously. Now this is a major issue with me, because I felt I paid the price of eating at an upscale type of restaurant, but was served in a non-upscale way, if that makes sense. I think if they perhaps served dine-in customers on real plates, and served drinks in nice glasses, and provided customers with real cutlery, customers wouldn’t feel so slighted by the price they are being charged for food. I will probably visit this restaurant again, but not as often as I would like. (Food was delicious)

We visited The Retro Diner today and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! We started with the jerk salmon sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection, giving that ideal crunch, while the salmon hit the perfect texture balance—not too wet, not too dry. The flavors were on point, definitely bringing that authentic Jamaican vibe that made every bite a delight. Next up, we tried the hot lemon pepper chicken wings, and oh my goodness—they are the bomb! I especially appreciated that they serve whole wings, not just the drummies. It’s a refreshing change and made the experience feel a bit more special. Given that The Retro Diner is a Chicago spot, I’d love to see them add Italian Beefs to their menu. It would be a fantastic addition to the already tasty lineup! For those planning a visit, parking is conveniently located at the rear of the restaurant at intersection (Courtland ST & Renaissance Pkwy). Overall, The Retro Diner is definitely worth a visit—great food, great vibes, and I’m already looking forward to my next meal there!

First off I want to say I found this little Restutant from a Instagram page. A bartender was making drinks and they looked delicious so I followed the link from her page to the Retro grill page and I was blown away by the food so I just knew I had to come in. When I got in I was greeted with a big warm smile by the bartender from the video that led me here, Sade is the name she gave me. It was very busy at the Bar, so she told me she would be right with me. I waited patiently but it was a group of people there giving her a hard time, it seems they wanted another person to make their drinks possibly idk but they were very rude to her. Another woman came over and continued with them and she was able to take care of me. I asked her what she recommended and she told me the Sunshine combo because I couldn’t choose between a Philly and wings. The sunshine combo comes with both wings, Philly and fries how sweet, I chose the Jerk Salmon she told me to do the Boss Lemon pepper and I was not disappointed. I was shocked at the price for just 6 wings but she assured me I would be satisfied because the wings are whole, I definitely was happy. As for the drinks I asked her what drinks she recommended and she gave me 2 Stony Islands and a Peachtree st. I loved them both, she really knows her stuff. Ask for Sade if you ever just want a great drink the drinks were so good I ordered 2 and they were consistent in taste and flavor. I will say it’s a bit of a wait for your food but it’s made fresh to order and she did tell me it would be about 30mins plus it was really packed and the guest at the bar were being rude and difficult to both Sade and one other woman who was behind the bar. So I understood the wait, I was recommend to come on a Wednesday or Sunday if I want to avoid a large rambunctious crowd. Overall I will be back, this will probably be a new spot for me and my girls after work I plan to tell them about Retro as we live only two blocks away so...

I have been a great customer to this establishment coming approximately 2-3 times a week! (I work a lot not enough time or energy to cook). They have recently hired new staff that clearly was not trained on manners or customer service. I ordered my food 45mins before I arrived and received an text stating my food was ready. When I approached the employee I gave my name he it's not ready without even looking. I stated that's "strange I just received a text stating it was ready" (which is usually accurate from this establishment). Another female employee interjected and stated "uber be wrong all the time its not ready". In which my reply was I did not order through uber I ordered directly off of your site. Then it was eyeball rolling and whole lot of attitude from these employees in which I was really confused. Another YOUNG employee clearly seen what was happening and took the initaive to go find out about my order. In the meantime the other two employees went to a corner giggling and then staring at me as if I am wrong for asking about my order that was already paid for. I work too hard for my money to even be in a predicament to have to go back and forth about anything especially some where I frequent often. I then asked for two boss sauce upon receiving my order in which I was charged an additional $2 which would have been fine as well except the same rude male employee took my $2 and placed in his hand as a tip instead of the register. And of course they certainly did not deserve any type of tip from me. This is why hiring staff that understands customer service is crucial although I love this establishment food I will not even entertain giving them any more of my hard earned money having to endure that type...
