The ambience inside the shop is great. It’s aesthetically pleasing. I sat on this for a bit because I didn’t know if I should leave a review but alas, here I am.
I got a hot latte. Just a standard latte nothing special to it. I expected it to be pricier than usual but 7 bucks wasn’t terrible. Still too high for coffee. Now I’m not a connoisseur of coffee so I don’t know the lingo the vernacular that goes into the coffee business.
So I had a question. A stupid question that I even admitted may sound dumb. I was under the impression that ‘drip’ was a special kind of coffee. Like a house special.
So I asked the lady with the short hair what that meant. And she mentioned filtered coffee. This is when the issue started. She just shrugged her shoulders and looked at her co workers while giggling and doing that maneuver with your hand to imply this person is dumb. Her entire demeanor was dismissive, and I tried to be as cordial as possible. Like I said, I even preemptively said it was a stupid question.
There’s no need to be so rude to the people who are signing your pay check. I get tired of certain businesses in Atlanta acting like they are the ones doing their customers a favor.
No. Humble yourself. That attitude is going to make sure you are a cashier for someone else for the rest...
Read moreI came in about two in the afternoon so I definitely wasn't in their peak time of day, so that may explain the lack of freshness that I experienced, but that was all I got. Coffee tasted hours old and bitter and I will say I've had better from a fresh cup of Folders. Blech!
I was thinking about trying something to eat from the case but after looking, I wouldn't have tried it free on a bet, let alone paid for it. As for having tea on the menu, I'm not sure why it's there. No loose leaf tea... Just pick a teabag off the wall that anyone could have handled or dropped, and they put it in hot water for you.
The place could also do with a good wash. Sure, it's spring, the doors are open and pollen is a mess right now, but the place could use some clean water and soap. Sticky tables that wobble, dirty windows and furniture that hasn't been wiped down in forever. The place is 8-10 years old and could use some updates. Urban chic doesn't have to mean dirty and uncared for.
On the good side, the guy that was serving was quick and very friendly... Seemed to hustle and keep busy even when not waiting on folks. It was also nice to have ceramic to-stay mugs instead of cardboard coffee cups and glass tea mugs. I just wish the product was worthy of...
Read moreSo I came to this location for the first time about a month ago. While the coffee and breakfast was good the service was awful. Me and my friend walked about a block or two to Drip and had each brought a thermos for our iced coffees so we could make sure the drinks didn’t melt on our walk back. When we finally got our drinks we went ahead and transferred them into our thermoses and got ready to leave. When the employee brought our sandwiches she scolded us in a very rude manner about how they were short on cups.. basically insinuating that me and my friend were being wasteful in some way. I would NEVER think to talk to a customer the way she did me and my friend. Last time I checked, I bought the plastic cup, ice, AND coffee and it is none of your business how I choose to use the product that I paid for. I don’t really care if you’re low on cups. If that’s a problem than I would suggest finding a different supplier. Not so much the quality of the food and drinks that’s an issue but the...
