My coworkers rave about this place and I had to see for myself what all the hype is about. Located in a small space, they have a set up where you order outside and wait for your name/number to be called. To be clear, this is a grab and go kind of spot. Parking is in a residential area and is hopping around lunch time so be prepared to call ahead or pack your patience.
Capable of accepting credit cards and cash for payment options with no surcharge for doing so. The menu has plenty of options for vegetarians, carnivores and omnivores. I found myself torn between options and decided to go with the fuego philly. That means that it's spicy y'all! Not the kind of spice where you can't feel your lips but spicy to make you bite into it more and savor the meat, cheese and sautéed onions nestled in the hoagie bread. Tipping isn't required but you absolutely feel comfortable doing so with the care and concern they show their customers.
When the weather permits, there are a few tables with sun umbrellas if you decide to dine there. I have to admit, I did enjoy my food and am excited to return to try so many more of the items on their menu. I've seen people order fries w/their sandwiches but I struggled to finish my food although the fries are a nice touch. Sorry, they don't have BBQ sauce for those of us who don't care for ketchup.
I can wholeheartedly refer others to this small business. I will...
Read moreI was charged $ 4.00 for an order of chili cheese fries- an order that was small enough to feed a 4 yr old and I ordered extra raw and extra grilled onion on my foot long chicago style hotdog and was charged .60 cents each for raw and .60 each for grilled onion even though raw is included with a Chicago style dog/ the grilled was excellent but wasn't close to being "extra" as I ordered extra grilled onion in addition to extra raw onion but received neither even though I paid extra for both. The food was tasty enough but the value for what I received was not acceptable - so please do not charge for a product that the customer is not receiving. I do understand that when there is not a lot of local competition a business does not need to provide an extra level of service to the customer which would normally be standard business practice but in this case in the grand scheme of things this meal wasnt horrible but to charge extra for something that wasnt provided is not cool so please be mindful of this when a paying customer...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I took a ride down to this place after it was suggested by a server at another restaurant we had been to. I ordered the bulgogi sub and gypsy fries, and my boyfriend ordered the Philly. The food was so much better than I anticipated! Super flavorful and big portions! The fella who took our order was super nice and had a great personality! If you're not from the area, you may not know (as we didn't), that the sandwich shop isn't a walk-in and eat place. We ordered outside, and there are picnic tables for you to eat at. I don't mind eating outside there. The only issue I had was that it's kinda loud because it's on a busy street corner. There were some folks who had backed their trucks in, and when they were leaving, they sat in their trucks for several minutes with them idling, so the exhaust was coming out right at all the tables. Once they finally left, we could really enjoy our food and breathe better. I will absolutely visit this...
